21.01.2022 Meet Dylan Butler, born in Port Pirie but now in the Barossa. Dylans artistic endeavours started in 2018 when he was living in Banff in the Canadian Rocky Moun...tains. Over a one year period he developed skills as a qualified painter and sign-writing. Dylan painted his first mural at a local ski hill and sold his first small canvas painting. In Banff, Dylan also developed his musical repertoire, performing at local open mic nights and fundraisers. He performs on the acoustic guitar, harmonica and didgeridoo. We first met Dylan @wanderlustgreenock, and he was an early supporter of the @100barossaartists. In his spare time, Dylan plans to restore and convert his 1974 Kombi Van into a camper. When hes done, he will be able to travel and work out of the van whilst continuing to pursue his creative endeavours. Thanks Dylan for your work in progress video for @100barossaartists. Follow his work @dylan.butler.artist....

18.01.2022 Something for our artists to begin considering....

18.01.2022 Try something new.

16.01.2022 This dragon should live permanently in Greenock where heritage is strongly Cornish/Irish. Perhaps a campaign for each town to have a distinctive sculpture by different artists is something worth developing?

07.01.2022 "The picture has been taken down... Who has taken it down? Why has it been taken down...?" Before we take to the stage at Her Majesty Theatre with Gaslight by P...atrick Hamilton, let's look back at this iconic scene from the Hollywood film. In 1944, Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer's powerful performances (Bergman won an Academy Award for hers) thrilled audiences and propelled a new phrase into our modern lexicon. 06.01.2022 Meet Amy a Graphic Designer and artist living in Springton. Amy decided to give her art more focus this year and explore different painting techniques. She has... worked with design customers in the Barossa for the last 10 years and has enjoyed exploring her artistic side in the last few years, painting for her local SALA exhibition. We met Amy when she was tagged in a post about the 100 Barossa Artist project and within 24 hours registered and picked up her canvas @sheis_art_barossa Gallery. As things tend to go at the gallery, a little bit of chat turned into a full book proposal, when we found out she used to design books for work. So its with much delight and a little bit of awe we can officially say Amy is designing the 100 Barossa Artist book this very minute. She has generously sponsored a portion of the design and is working to tight time frames to get it done, including collating all the Future Artist work. You can help us meet deadlines by filling out your artist details here https://form.jotform.com/100barossaartis/artwork-submission We have an audacious goal of having books ready for the start of SALA (well, we will give it a good go). You can pre-order your book for a little over the cost of printing here https://www.100barossaartists.com//pre-order-100barossa/4 And please follow Amys work here @herman.amy Thanks so much Amy, we were gobsmacked when you brought your self portrait in. Such a fortuitous meeting all round. See Amys self portrait during @salafestival for @100barossartists x
