Writers, Revolutionaries and Renegades of Sunshine will be explored in this series. This self-guided audio tour will traverse the radical side of Sunshine that is abundant with stories about the people that initiated social and political change. Each site will be places connected to the writings, activism and daily lives of these intriguing individual...s and events. Happening until Sunday 29 November. 22.01.2022 Meet our 'Land MARKS' artists Jessica Wilson (artist) presents 'Child Nation' - digital art and play for homes. Jessica is an established artist with a practice in image-based theatre and participative art. 'Child Nation' is a a collection of short digital adventures that prompt children to turn their homes and adults into art experiences. Jessica will develop and test 20 adventures with a diverse range of children before a digital season at the Bowery Theatre. Digital ...play for children aged 7-12. More details coming soon! 07.01.2022 Meet our 'Land MARKS' artists Sam Elkin (Filmmaker / Photographer / Storyteller) will present LGBTQIA+ Writers’ Workshops, Online Storytelling and Podcasts. Sam Elkin will run a series of online writers workshops with members of the trans and gender diverse community. From there, he will commission new works and co-edit an anthology of trans and gender diverse writing and art, which will be launched at Midsumma 2021 at the Bowery Theatre. Sam will also create a 12-part... podcast series titled Best and Worst Day, which will showcase the resilience and creativity of the LGBTIQA+ community in Melbourne's west. More details coming soon!
