Cade has all of the mechanical assembly well under control, the engine's been fired, the brakes are bled, and the entirety of the electrical system is live and tested.... In the next little while we'll have the hang on panels back on, as well as exterior and interior trims, and chrome work. 11.01.2022 STAG UPDATE! Before we went into lockdown, a complete new exhaust system was installed, and this was the last piece of the assembly puzzle to go in before we could fire the rebuilt engine. And fire up we did! After a few timing and clearance adjustments, Cade put the engine through its run in procedure, and it didn’t miss a beat! See the comments for videos! ... 10.01.2022 Hot off the press, one 1978 HJ45 Toyota Landcruiser Ute! After many years of service on the farm, she was a little worse for wear and rust was becoming quite the sinister problem... The owner was not going to let it go, and so decided the time had come to save it. That’s where we came in, and saving it is what we’ve done!... Over the last year we completed all rust and panel repairs required, as well as rear chassis section repairs. The panel and paint restoration included sandblasting and repainting the tray and tailgates, and repairs and powder coating to the bull bar and toolboxes. The days of paddock bashing may now be behind this ute, but its workhorse days are not. For our first ever entry into the Australian International Concours D’Elegance of Motorclassica, we held modest hopes, expecting to learn as much as we were able to deliver.... It’s safe to say that we were nothing short of blown away, when it was announced this beautifully restored 1959 Aston Martin DB II Mk III was awarded Best in Show for Motorclassica 2019.
