23.01.2022 Kindergarten headed out on their first excursion for 2020 this morning. We headed to the library for a morning of fun filled story time. While at the library we did a lot of exploring letter recognition too!

23.01.2022 Everybody knows the Schoolies love finding ways to repurposing things... especially things like refrigerator boxes. Together we transformed this huge box into an activity station to be used for our Vacation Care Carnival-Themed day today. The children explored target practice using nerf guns, throwing darts to pop balloons, ball and ring toss. The box kept us entertained for hours!!!!

13.01.2022 What a cool way to kick off National Science Week! This year’s theme is Deep Blue: innovations for the future of our oceans. After school today, the Schoolies joined together and used the interactive whiteboard to connect with Griffith University Centre for Coastal Management on Zoom to discuss various marine conservation related jobs and some of the things that you would do as part of this job. We enjoyed this interactive workshop. We watched real life underwater video... footage and learnt about some of the creatures we saw and amazing habitats below the surface. Afterwards we invited Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten in to join us viewing a live Sea World Rescue animal video diary. The Sea World Research and Rescue team also jumped onto Zoom to introduce us to some of the rescued animals, and we learnt about how they assist marine animals that need our help.

13.01.2022 Today was the Schoolies first day of Vacation Care, and it was all about Crazy Constructions. The children were presented with a wide range of materials and tools required to create and construct. First up this morning, the children chose to build a large cubby house using sheets and chairs. The children had to work together to tie knots in the sheets, and suspend these to chair and table legs to create a roof. Inside the cubby became a sanctuary fully equipped with mindf...ulness coloring pages, pens, pencils, crayons and more.... Later on Miss Jade conducted a one-on-one woodwork experience with each of the children who wanted to participate, being sure to educate the children how to safely use the tools and materials beforehand. The children built robots and hedgdgehogs using planks of wood, screws, nails, hooks and other bits and pieces found in the tool box. It really was wonderful to see the children concentrate and put so much effort into their creations. See more

08.01.2022 DUCHENNE AWARENESS DAY On MONDAY September 7th is World Duchenne Awareness Day. On this day we raise awareness for Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy around the globe. We would love your help to get involved in spreading awareness and getting a part of this cause! This year is exceptionally hard for children and adults living with Muscular Dystrophy, as most of them have been in isolation for majority of this year. ... Please come to Kindy next MONDAY wearing red! This can be a red shirt, red pants, a red ribbon, red socks or rock a full red look from head to toe!

We will be celebrating book week for the entire week so dress your child/children up in their favourite book character! We can’t wait to see them in their costumes
