03.01.2022 An article of mine is featured in 990 4RO AM If you can help the Warner family bring their son home, please give. Every little bit helps.

03.01.2022 A few weeks ago I attended a funeral of a lovely man in his eighties. I sat in the pew as his daughter regaled us with some of his childhood stories. And it reminded me of how little we may actually know about people in our lives. Especially those older members in our family. And how sad is that? The older generation are a treasure trove of tales! Im always fascinated to hear their incredible stories; stories from a completely different era, one we cannot even begin to imagine. Read below to learn more about what I'm doing today and why finding out your loved ones stories is so special <3

03.01.2022 When writing media releases, you sometimes need to rejig the wording and think about the timing of when you send them. Today is International Dog Day so yesterday I tweaked the media release for Belinda Richards, the AIPP Pet Photographer of the Year and sent it out to the universe this morning. A few hours later the ABC called. You can check out Belinda's interview at 15.50 on the link below:... https://www.abc.net.au//pr/afternoons/afternoons/11429946

02.01.2022 I've been busy behind the scenes this week doing some PR work for the AIPP. It's always exciting to see the results of my press releases. This article featured on page 8 of today's Courier Mail. Super-excited to see some of the AIPP's talented photographers' images in the paper. On a side note, this article is a result of my press releases (not written by me) and while those of us in the AIPP can proudly claim Mick Porter as a Brisbane member, we all know that Peter Rossi is a Cairns photographer ;)

02.01.2022 It's great to see the publicity continuing for the AIPP photographers. You can read my press release on Trevor Foon's recent win and how he created his tintype photograph, on the link below. http://thestar.com.au//foon-wins-national-photography-awa/

02.01.2022 "Don't act like you're not impressed."

02.01.2022 There is a real knack to storytelling. Some people are fantastic at it, while others, well, not so much. I mean, have you ever been to an event where the keynote speaker was the primary cause of your comatose state? Theres nothing more painful (prior to the coma) than sitting through a monotonous monologue. When I was studying for my degree I was given the task of writing a blog. Now, it was a long time ago and it wasnt something Id done often. However, I was up for the t...ask, so I sat down late one night, had a few wines and thought about recent events. The year before wed lost our dog, and we were devastated. My hubby and I are crazy-mad dog people and she was the first dog wed owned together. And after a few glasses of red (ha! Who am I kidding? It was a bottle), I became sentimental. And the words and the tears just started flowing. And my university assignment just wrote itself. Now, Im not recommending downing a bottle of red prior to your assignment but hey, whatever works for you! When I received my results, I was thrilled! Not because of the mark (although it was a really good mark) but because my tutor told me she cried! It made me so happy! Because whether a story makes you laugh or makes you cry, if it makes you feel, then its a good story. That is the power of great storytelling. And this was mine
