24.01.2022 Thats a wrap! Not quite. Big congratulations to Elisa Jane Carmichael, Quandamooka Festival, Transport Minister Mark Bailey and Redland Mayor Karen Williams and all other associated local politicians who have supported this terrific Nandeebie/Cleveland Line train wrap artwork launched on the Yura Yalingbilla Welcome the Whales day as part of the Festival. The wrap, based on Leecees Adder Rock, under the paperbark, pandanus and banksia (2017) painting, will cruise up and down that line until 31 August. Great day for Quandamooka culture, country and art and transport! #elisajanecarmichael www.quandamookafestival.com.au/ @quandamookafestival @MarkBaileyMP @CrKarenWilliams @KimeRichards #redlandscoast onespacegallery.com.au/artist/elisa-jane-carmichael/

24.01.2022 A big congratulations to Quandamooka artists and mother daughter duo, Sandra and Shara Delaney on their new mural, "dabilbahnba" meaning place of saltwater. The work will be painted onto the outside of the Cleveland Library building on Middle Street next week. This vibrant mural will celebrate yet another successful Quandamooka Festival, Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said, "It is wonderful to have Sandra and Shara Delaney share some of the earliest Quandamooka stories... while beautifying and providing a focal point in the heart of Cleveland." This project is another successful partnership between Creative Arts Redlands Public Art Program of the Redland City Council and the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC). Special thanks also to Avril Quaill and Joel Bolzenius from QYAC; Stephanie Lindquist, Director, Collections & Public Art, Redland Art Gallery; mentor artists Deb Mostert and Matthew Newkirk; and Craig Flood of CREATIVEMOVE. 17.01.2022 Congratulations to Elysha Rei and Samuel Tupou on completing The Johnstone Room mural this week at Queensland State Archives (QSA). This collaborative project has yielded an inspirational visual narrative linking the past, present and future of archiving practices. The stunning piece references the various departments and their roles and the balance between hard-copy and digital records. It also highlights the immediate challenge of managing and preserving digital records in... an environment of constantly changing technology. The work is structured around a striking Archive Totem which features a child's face adorned in a space helmet alluding to an aspirational direction of archival practices in the future. Visual cues include archival record ornamental decoration and book binding together with objects and technology that depict archiving and document generation and storage. A male and a female bower bird feature symbolically as treasure collectors, just like the QSA. The bower birds predilection for the colour blue is also present in the design, featuring in line work and a circuit board pattern, linking to the future of digital archiving. This mural provides an inspirational backdrop for staff workshops while recognising the value and importance of custodianship of the States history. Lets hope that more government workshop spaces in the future look as terrific as this! www.qld.gov.au/dsiti/qsa www.elysharei.com/ www.samueltupou.com/ See more

05.01.2022 So great to see Brian Robinsons wonderful Bywa becoming part of its underwater home!

04.01.2022 CREATIVEMOVE and Onespace Gallery are immensely proud to work with the amazing Brian Robinson and the Jack Morton Worldwide team on the artwork design for the Parade Track for the Opening Ceremony of the XXI Commonwealth Games. As Brian Robinson explains, Charting our place in the universe, is a large chart full of marine life and tales from the seven seas, tells an epic narrative that was developed for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. The narrative encompasses the entire universe, both fact and fantasy, and starts with the creation of the pale blue sphere we call earth. 02.01.2022 So great to see Brian Robinson’s wonderful Bywa becoming part of its underwater home!

02.01.2022 Dear Colleagues and Friends, In late November 2017, our beloved colleague, Craig Flood, advised us that he had been offered an exciting new position with the Brisbane City Council and that he would be taking up that offer as of January 2018. Yes, were not surprised that Council would snap up his expertise to augment their existing team. Craigs end date with CREATIVEMOVE will be 18 December 2017 so get in quick with your well-wishes, flowers and hugs. We offer Craig our sinc...ere congratulations on his new role. Jodie and I provided Council HR with a great reference because Craig deserves it. Craig has been such a committed, professional and supportive colleague for both of us, and more importantly, for the CREATIVEMOVE / Onespace Team. Jamie, Alicia, and us, will all miss him terribly, because his cross-over skills in the Gallery have contributed to such an integrated team delivering both our public art and gallery programs. We could go on and on about Craigs professional contribution to our businesses and the fantastic program outcomes he has achieved such as the Yarrabilba Art Program and the Fish Lane Art Strategy and commissions (and we possibly should over a drink sometime) but Jodie and I want people to know how much we have really valued Craigs friendship and personal qualities in driving both businesses forward through some pretty challenging times. Craig is a true gentleman. His maturity and team spirit have gone along way when things have been tough, and have been a sheer joy when things have been going well. We have always received glowing feedback on Craigs work, which has enhanced the brands of both of our businesses. But it is in the area of artist and client liaison that he has truly performed amazingly. Our clients and the many artists who work in our programs respect him and know that they are in very good hands. We couldnt have asked for anything more. We wish Craig all the very best in life and work on his new professional journey. He is truly 1/1. We hope both he, and you, take away many fond memories from his work (and none of the artworks that he supervised the footings for) at both CREATIVEMOVE and Onespace Gallery as we do. From Tuesday 19 December, Jodie or I will be the primary contact so please keep in touch. Best wishes to everyone and have a very safe and relaxing break over the festive summer period. John + Jodie
