The recent destruction of the Juukan Gorge sacred site, the felling of the Djap Wurrung directions tree, and yesterday's refusal to hang the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags in the senate highlight the ongoing injustices against Indigenous Austr...alians. We ought to be listening to and consuming Indigenous stories, news, and art every day - not just one week of the year. Let our engagement with NAIDOC week be the beginning of long-lasting, respectful, and equitable relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
