25.01.2022 REFLECTOR OF LIGHT https://bluethumb.com.au/karen-h/Artwork/reflector-of-light My thoughts as I created this pretty painting were about the pattern of light reflecting through beauty.... To me light reflected through colour is beautiful. My impression was of the sun shining through flowers as if empowering them to open. I used acrylic paints to portray a white slightly wavy background. My chosen colours for flower impressions were light pink, fuchsia, turquoise, yellow and lime green. Sometimes less is more! I love the simplicity yet beauty of this square canvas painting. A pretty yet refreshing addition to home or office. A lovely colourful gift for a friend. A great addition to your collection! Whatever the purpose I am sure you will enjoy this painting. See more

23.01.2022 HEALING OUR LAND A simple flip cup pouring technique, yet I heard clearly encouragement from God. He is healing our land.... Our part in this is to come to Him with a pure heart. To simply yield our heart and let go of preconceived ideas of how things should be. Even our healing will look different in comparison to our thoughts and ideas. He is healing our land, if we trust Him... If we let Him in. Our intimacy with Him makes way for the changes needed. Isaiah 41:10 Amp. ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation]

11.01.2022 What do you think of this? Working on revamping an old painting. My inspiration for this painting was a poem I wrote called Winter Has Gone. WINTER HAS GONE... Winter has gone and new life has begun Now travelling through opportunities as one We hold on to our colour filled divine promises Knowing that our fruitfulness will soon come Walking in anticipation of the glorious new We partner with God to see what next to do Beautiful whirlwinds of change now fill the air No longer sadness or sorrow we divorce despair Each moment releases new choices, new chance We embrace the new and partner in God's romance Being led by His Spirit we now follow His flow Our hearts and lives fine tuned, our faces aglow New life is seen, early blossom revealing future joy Winter has past our future life now being deployed Every touch of green, every blossom blooming Watered by the hand of the master gardener Copyright 2017. by Karen Harry
10.01.2022 RIVERS God says that out of our innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. We have to be connected with Him to enable this to happen. As we draw near to Him we can hear and receive what we need.... What He has promised shall come to pass. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ John 7:38 NASB I created this painting recently using layers of mainly metallic colours. Depending upon the light different colours are highlighted. I used some pour painting techniques then waited for my background to dry before adding more detail.

03.01.2022 BY THE RIVER I want to be a river dweller. How about you? I want to spend so much time within the peace of God's presence that others catch my enthusiasm. I want God's love to keep me full.... I want to partner with heaven to release God's changes here on earth. God fills hungry hearts, let's reach out to Him and receive first what He wants us to give out to others. We can meet Him in the stillness and hear His heart. Out of our innermost being shall flow rivers of living water... Let the rivers flow! John 6:38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’
03.01.2022 LATE NIGHT MUSINGS Is my art prophetic? This is a question many artists feel insecure about.... In answering this question we first must gain an understanding of what defines prophetic art. In the words of Grace Bailey a seasoned prophetic artist... "It is visual imagery which speaks God's words; be they photography, drawing, painting or any other kind of visual 'art. ... If touched by the hand of God, prophetic art can release healing or power or emotional freedom in a way that spoken words can't.' In essence this has been my personal experience. Many years ago God began to show me scriptures, pictures, colours and sometimes simply words to paint. As I began in obedience to step out in faith to apply myself to express what I saw His presence would be so strong. It has been a journey of intimacy with God. A leaning in to hear what He is saying/doing and choosing to partner with Him. My preferred style of art is brightly coloured abstract. I occasionally am shown seascapes and skies, landscapes yet they always lean towards abstract expressionism. For this reason I have been on the receiving end of criticism from many. Knowledge of focal points, perspective, light source and correct brush techniques are of no importance to me. I do however recognise and value the brilliant skill level shown within all art. My main point is this. We as artists must first acknowledge that we are artists. It is important to accept and embrace who we are and the flow of creativity God chooses to flow through us. In saying this it is of utmost importance to be true to the style of art we are uniquely called to create. Three years ago I received instruction to place some abstract art within some art galleries. Now these particular galleries did not see any value in abstract art. Since then I have seen those same galleries embracing abstract art. Sometimes our art not only carries a message for a person but an area. The key is for us to hear, receive and express what God is showing us. Whether our art is highly applauded or seemingly ignored it carries God's presence and for those whom it is intended a powerful message. We are living in unusual times, let's stir up the gifts we have been given. Embrace the gift, relay the message and trust that the outcome will accomplish what God has set out for it to do. Be true to yourself, be original, continue to flow within the unique expression He has given to you! Prophetic Art ushers in change defined by God's direction and coated by His love. Karen Harry
03.01.2022 Here is some encouragement.... Not sure I can do this justice within a painting. JUST KEEP CLIMBING Within an encounter last night I saw myself climbing up a steep hillside to the hilltop. ...Continue reading
03.01.2022 GLORIOUS There had to be a shaking, there had to be the overturning of tables in order that true holiness would become seen. As I painted this abstract piece I felt very drawn to use white and splashes of bright fluoro colours.... My photo doesn't do the colours justice. I heard the words.... and the whole earth was filled with His glory. The shaking, the travail the cleansing of the temple all necessary to make way for His glory to become seen. Just let Him cleanse our lips. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory! 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 So I said: Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts. 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us? Then I said, Here am I! Send me Isaiah 6:1-8 NKJV

01.01.2022 CROCUS The crocus flower represents cheerfulness, especially the yellow. Seeing a crocus flower coming into bloom is a sign that winter is coming to an end. Hope and joy is restored, our future is looking beautiful because we know that God has promised us beauty for ashes and oil of joy for mourning! This is a mixed media acrylic painting with a very textured background. Crocus flowers formed with a palette knife.
