23.01.2022 Off topic for me, I usually stick to work related posts... but thought I’d share my little hobby. I love making #kokedamas especially as gifts for friends and this one is off to her forever home tomorrow. I finding wrapping them so therapeutic and meditative.... 21.01.2022 Anyone else found the transition from lockdown, to normal life more stressful than they’d imagined? I’ve felt more overwhelmed the last two weeks than I have for months! The enforced slowdown really resonated with me and my family and I think we all loved the lack of schedule and enforced time together at home.... Suddenly I had time to make cubby houses and do science experiments with paper towel and food colouring! But the last two weeks have been all systems go with kids returning to school and work very quickly ramping up again. So I’ve been racing around trying to find my pace in this new/old normal. Definitely thinking I need to get more into automation and batch work. Anyone here a pro at these things? If so, hit me up with some tips! I need all the help I can get! See more

20.01.2022 If you are a creative then chances are you’re going to relate to this post! Here I am, Sunday morning, my wonderful husband has taken the kids out for the morning so that I can work on putting the finishing touches on my course (incase you haven’t heard, Learn how to use Canva Like a Pro is dropping shortly, link in bio) and whilst I was creating ways to help people develop brands for their business I got a little sidetracked I’ve known Nikki from Lion and Cub Photogr...aphy for years now. In fact, she shot my wedding and my daughters first birthday! I love her energy, her creativity and her passion for what she does. I’ve always wanted to have a look at her brand as I knew I could help represent what she does better. But I’ve never found the time. Then this morning, inspiration hit! I’ve been wanting to look at doing a single line drawing for a logo for a while now and suddenly I realised, that would be perfect for Lion + Cub! Obviously I had to drop everything instantly and let the inspiration out and I’m so happy I did as when I sent it to Nikki she was thrilled also! Can’t wait to help her get her new brand up on her website and across all her other touchpoints. When a graphic for a brand is so perfect the process is SOOOOOO easy and I love it! Hope you do too. 18.01.2022 Well this one was a bit of fun!!! I loved working with Tina from @ballooniesstudio to redesign her #shopify website. Adding in stacks more functionality and generally making her life easier by creating a more streamlined experience for both her retail customers and her wholesalers.... Suffice to say, getting to play with her bright, fun imagery was a joy! How’s your #ecommerce website performing for you?

18.01.2022 There’s something so satisfying about working with women in business to create a fresh new brand for their business. One that truly speaks to the quality of their product and the love they put into their work. When Lauren from @mimilil.co contacted me to help her with a rebrand and to redesign her e-comm boho clothing store I was super excited to dive right in. So obviously I’m pretty happy to unveil the first stage of the project! Her new logo!... Now I can’t wait to get stuck into her website! So stay tuned!

18.01.2022 Wow! What a weekend! Honestly, if you’ve ever thought about going to a hotel to work, I HIGHLY recommend it. I got SO much done! I also realised just how much more I have to do to get this course out there, at the standard I expect of myself, so there’s that... But the weekend gave me the opportunity to get a huge chunk created, filmed and designed. And the free-from-kids headspace also gave me such a great chance to think of so much added value I want to give to you ...all!! So here’s a little sneak peek at the modules inside my course. 14.01.2022 Another website launched today. I loved working with Gen to create this website for @thethrivehub I can’t wait to see where this website takes this amazing new business for her. It was such an honour to take her idea and turn it into this beautiful new website.

14.01.2022 When Covid-19 started, at first I was scared. Like lying awake at night, hugging my children constantly, wondering if I was going to be able to feed them scared. But then everything got back to normal in my life so quickly, that the fear didn’t stay long. In fact, if anything, life in my little bubble got better. My husband started working from home (and still is!) which meant we had him around a whole lot more than usual. After an initial lull, work also started quickly pick...ing up as people realised how important having an online presence was. I was amazed at the number of enquiries that started flooding into my inbox! And with my hubby home I also had more time to work on things. It was great! As the world got back to normal, so did my little bubble and all of a sudden I found myself having to rush around in the mornings to get my daughter to school and my son to daycare. The time I did have with them suddenly seemed so much more precious. The last few weeks have just been a period of readjustment for me. Getting used to things being that little bit more hectic. I’ve tried to be gentle on myself, and on my kids. I’ve had moments of guilt where I feel like a failure for not keeping up with social media, but then the guilt of working on my business instead of watching an episode of Bluey with my kids is greater and Bluey always wins. But things are starting to even out, I’m getting back into the swing of things and I’m looking forward to sharing some of the projects I’ve been working on during Covid as well as continuing to bring you tips and tricks to help you promote and grow your business. 13.01.2022 Want to know what really gets my creative juices flowing? Having the opportunity to do the branding, website AND brand photography for a business. When Juliana from @awakenbodycentre gave me that opportunity recently I jumped at the chance.... Not only is she a gorgeous woman with a beautiful spirit who instantly inspires beautiful, feminine creative. She also runs a Pilates and Gyrotonic studio in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. I mean, it’s basically a dream creative brief, come true! So the first stage of the project was to get some lovely clean shots of the beautiful space her studio was in, and here’s a sneak peek of the shoot. 12.01.2022 I’ve been a little quiet lately. Truth be told it’s for a couple of reasons. Some good. Some not so good. I haven’t been posting on Instagram for a few weeks now. I’ve no idea if anyone has noticed, but it’s definitely been playing on my mind. I’ve been watching some of my favourite people on Instagram absolutely killing it and I’ve had moments of feeling like I was failing.... Honestly, I’ve been so busy with clients that I haven’t had time to post... but then I think, is that even an excuse? People that I follow and love are so consistent, so incredible at showing up, so brilliant at sharing all the goodness they have to offer! I found myself comparing what I was managing to do with others. And I found I was coming up short. I have had moments of near panic over the last few weeks. I’ve honestly felt bad for not showing up!! But then I realised, comparison with kill you. The only thing you can do is your best. Staying in your lane, taking care of the people that matter to you and not worrying how others are doing it differently is a lot easier.

11.01.2022 So NSW schools are BACK from next Monday the 25th May. Both my daughter and me are pretty excited! To be fair, I actually loved lockdown. I loved the gift of time I was given with my kids as well as my husband. Having him home with us full time has been the greatest thing to come out of all of this and I really hope it means more permanent changes to the way he works and the amount of time he can be home with us. BUT! I am also SO ready to get stuck back into work@and my... beautiful daughter is so ready for stimulation outside of the home. So here’s to all us homeschooling/working mums. You’re amazing. I see you. And I celebrate the return to school with you!! We did it!!!!!

09.01.2022 Do you ever daydream about what your dream work space would be? Mine would be kind of like this, full of plants and books, comfy furniture and big mugs of tea. My real office is definitely full of plants but also seems to be the dumping ground for rarely used kids toys and old baby books. I need some serious time (and $$) in there getting it organised and clean.... I had fun playing around in Canva this afternoon making this little illustration. Let me know if you’d like a quick tutorial on creating your own illustrations using assets you find in Canva.

09.01.2022 This post is such a great example of why I stress the importance of brand over logo. No one cares about your logo, they care about who you are and what you can do for them. Do your values align? Are you communicating what you do adequately? Don’t get caught up in a fancy logo, spend the time in crafting g the brand, developing the personality and communicating the values.

08.01.2022 What a joy of a project to be involved with. Celebrating this beautiful Children’s Centre with the opportunity to create a new website for them was such a privilege. But the best party was collaborating with other truely talented and creative women.

07.01.2022 Let’s talk e-comm websites shall we..? Done right, a good e-commerce website can be an absolute goldmine. Your own digital shopfront just sitting there, passively, raking in the . Amiright?... No, of course I’m not. Anyone with a successful e-commerce store will tell you it is HARD WORK! Hard creating a beautiful website, hard knowing what buyers are looking for, hard getting your systems in place, hard keeping up with product photography, hard dealing with needy customers, basically just a shit tonne of work! BUT! Done right they can also allow you freedom. Freedom from the 9-5. Freedom to work from anywhere, to pursue other passions and to grow wealth. I actually love working with women in business to create their dream online stores, but I wanted to showcase this #shopify website I did for Swimming NSW recently. More corporate than a lot of the work I usually do but I loved the learning curve, integrating it with a robust inventory tracking system and dealing with a tonne of products. Now I can’t wait to pass all those learnt lessons on to some of the other e-comm sites I’m working on at the moment to make those women’s’ businesses even better!

03.01.2022 Sneak peek at a new website that’s getting pretty close to launch! I have loved creating this website for @leeanneprytherch from Be You Collective. Her energy and positive attitude is infectious and it honestly felt like working with an old friend who I could easily get caught on the phone with, just chatting about life. But we managed to hold it together long enough to create this gorgeous site and I’m so excited for it to officially launch very soon.
