21.01.2022 CALL FOR ENTRIES: The 2021 Jayne Wilson Memorial Arts Competition and Exhibition is now open! KEY INFORMATION: 2021... January 8th - Entry Forms due by this date (email/mail/ in person) January 15th - Drop off Artworks by 12 midday January 21st - Exhibition Opening February 1st - Collection of works after 2pm Entry is free with 25% commission on sales if items are for sale. Entries referencing the theme of ‘Strength’ in any medium are being sought for the January exhibition which will also feature work from community art programs around Australia. **Makers: Creative Space can deliver small - medium works and pick them up at close of the exhibition. Please be in touch asap if you plan to submit work** Our community has been so deeply impacted by the events of 2020 but it has also become a source of strength and resilience for many so we thought we would try to honour this by making our community the featured artist in next year’s exhibition. Since we started the JWMACE we have connected and received art from a number of community art groups around Australia so this year we will be asking them to each send a body of works to be featured as the feature artist in the exhibition. Alongside this we will be displaying a collection of therapeutic art works from a number of FFP programs to highlight the power of art to communicate and heal. 21.01.2022 Yes. We have moved... After a fab few weekends on the ARTS Trail 2020, our super Volunteers rolled up their sleeves AGAIN and we packed every last canvas, box of fabric and packet of clay into labeled tubs. And Cleaned. We moved three heavily laden ute loads and then Southern Removals & Storage Pty Ltd came to our rescue to move our bewt 100 year old Printmaking Press (originally gifted from Goulburnregional Art Gallery when we opened) with care and expertise. We have a temp...orary Creativity Pack making space at Tankar Self Storage Centre who are looking after us beautifully. Thanks Everyone! Next stop: NEW HOME! Hopefully we will find the perfect Space ASAP

19.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who was able to come along to our End of Year Gathering. We shared food, laughs and stories and made cards of thankfulness to share with those around us. We had a mini Creative Space set up for packing Creativity Packs for the summer And we started a large group acrostic poem based on the letters of Creative Space... We also had Birthday Cake and sang Happy Birthday to Us - for all the days we hadn't been able to celebrate face to face this year and to Creative Space who quietly turned 3 years old in September. This photo was taken early in the piece...It already has many other wonderful words included, lets get it out again when we re open :)
