25.01.2022 Life Membership The successful nominee for life membership this year has been a player at the club for many years, and still is. Has been a club sponsor in the past and has again stepped in to be a sponsor again this year. Served on the committee for 7 years, 4 as Treasurer and 3 as President.... Been responsible for a number of volunteer roles at the club over the years including book keeping, bar, canteen, BBQ's, functions, working bees, club days etc. Has been a team coach and team manager. This persons reign at the club started during a very challenging time for the club where it was quite literally fighting for its very survival both financially and as an entity, and was under threat of closure. The club was in debt, hadn't had a formal lease with Council for years and was suffering from falling membership numbers. Through their own knowledge, expertise and drive, and supported by a loyal band of followers, dragged the club out of the doldrums, gave it life again, negated the debt and got membership numbers heading back in the right direction again. Creek has a long history dating back to 1974, but its survival today can quite literally be placed at the feet of this individual. The nominee has had a 16 year association with this club and it gives us great pleasure to announce that the 2020 Life Membership goes to....Tess Cappelli. Congratulations Tess, well deserved and long overdue.

24.01.2022 The Battle of the Usher Park Big Cats is fast approaching! Planning is well in hand, excitement builds. Shaping up to be a fun day. Come along and join in the fun, canteen and bar facilities are open, no BYO.... Modified, back yard cricket type format, limited over game, max 2 overs per batter, no first ball outs, hit a 6 and you're gone! We are chasing a bit of cricket gear to use on the day if anyone has any to lend, bats, stumps, pads etc. Will be using indoor cricket balls as well, not regular cricket balls, little less damaging!

21.01.2022 Weekend wrap. Friday night saw wins to both our U18 sides, 5 nil in Div 1 over Rochedale and 2 nil over Samford in Div 3. This has our Div 1 side sitting atop of the ladder and Div 3 in second place. City 3 ladies posted another comfortable 3 nil win over Bayside consolidating their position at the top of the ladder by 4 points. ... Hats off to all the teams who played at Creek on Friday night following a torrential downpour just prior to kick off at 6.30 making the fields extremely wet and water logged. It was line ball whether games would go ahead due to the amount of surface water, but everyone pushed on which was much appreciated. Creek Colts Over 35's got another win away this week 3-2 over AC Carina- well done lads. Saturday morning both the U12 Div 2 boys and U 12 girls battled it out for 2 all and 3 all draws respectively. Both sides played their hearts out and put on a great show. Saturday afternoon the Capital squad headed out to Oxley and both sides came away with the points. Resies got up 2 nil and Firsts 3-1. This result for the Resies now has them sitting just 1 point behind top spot on the ladder.

15.01.2022 Further to the advice conveyed earlier today that training and football activities can recommence tomorrow, the attached advice refers to our clubhouse as a licensed venue. From 6pm today until 1am Friday 22 January 2021, the Greater Brisbane region transitions from a three-day lockdown into eased restrictions, to keep businesses operating and the community safe from transmission of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19 Venue Capacity and Requirements:... Indoors: 1 person per 4 sqm. Outdoors: 1 person per 2 sqm. Patrons must be seated to eat and drink. Patrons can order food and/or drink at the bar and counters. No dancing, except at weddings. For staff: Masks must be worn by all staff interacting with patrons (e.g. greeting and seating guests, serving food and drinks). For patrons: Patrons do not need to wear a mask in areas of the venue set aside for seated dining and drinking. Patrons should wear masks when they cannot socially distance within the venue e.g. entering and exiting the venue. In summary, the club bar will be open again from this Thursday under these Covid requirements, and anyone entering the clubhouse is required to ideally check in using the QR codes, or at worst sign in manually at the entrance. Steve Webb President

14.01.2022 Any Creekers got a story to tell about the annual cricket match?

14.01.2022 It is with great pleasure and heart felt thanks that I can announce to our membership and friends that young Tyler, the lad who collapsed at the club a few weeks ago, is out of hospital and making a strong and speedy recovery! So much so that he wants to visit the club this Saturday afternoon with his family to thank everyone involved for what they did, but to especially connect with those half dozen or so champions at our club that all played a part in saving his life. The f...amily would like to get a photo with you all and have it framed, engraved and gifted to the club so I hope you can all be there. My understanding is there were seven of you involved so if you could message our club page directly (you know who you are) to let me know if you can be there on Saturday would be appreciated. Tyler and his family are planning on being there at 4pm for kick off in the Capital main game. Steve Webb

14.01.2022 Deepest sympathy's to our little champion staffer Juan, who's father sadly passed away back home in South America yesterday. He churned away at the club canteen last night and we were all none the wiser about what had happened until late last night. Especially tough for Juan as he cant travel home to attend the funeral or be with family.... Thoughts and prayers are with you little mate!

13.01.2022 On behalf of the Creek family I would like to express our sincere condolences to the Davidson family following the recent sad passing of Gwen. Gwen and this family have a more than 30 year association with this club and it was an absolute honour hosting Gwen's celebration of life this afternoon. RIP Gwen.

13.01.2022 On Saturday we were extremely grateful to be able to host young Tyler Newman and his family at the club. Tyler was the young man that collapsed at our club a few weeks ago and was saved by our amazing group of first responders and the club defibrillator machine bequeathed by the Keifer family. It was an extremely emotional time for many seeing Tyler, but equally so overwhelming at the same time to see him back fit and healthy again.... In a heartwarming gesture, the family donated a top line first aid kit to the club as a way of thanking the club for what was done for Tyler. We are humbled by your generosity. Also on hand was Scott Whimpey from First Aid Accident and Emergency to present Tyler with his very own defibrillator machine to either keep or donate as he sees fit. Stopping by for a quick visit to meet Tyler were our Local State Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister The Honourable Mick de Brenni MP, and our Local Government Division 3 Councillor Mindy Russell. We will be seeing a lot more of Tyler and his family at the club in 2021 and very much look forward to that continued engagement.

12.01.2022 Any concreters at Creek, or does anyone know of one, that can come give me a quote for a pool surround concreting job? Job location Tanah Merah.

11.01.2022 Final weekend wrap for season 2020. Friday night saw our Over 35 side play their last game of the season V Logan Village and secure a 3-2 win!! Saturday arvo in stifling hot conditions saw our Cap squad and U18 Div 1 side play their final games.... Cap resies went down 5-2 but the firsts took it to Premiers Pine Hills and got the win and the points to secure a 4th placed finish for both teams in 2020 the season. Great result! Showpiece match was the U18 Div 1 Premiership match V UQFC. As expected from the 2 form teams of the comp it was a tough, fast, but fair battle to the death with UQFC coming out on top and taking the silverware. Not what we were hoping for as a team but take nothing away from UQFC. Congrats to them, bad luck to our boys. That's a wrap!

11.01.2022 3 new bar lines on tap at Creek as of tomorrow afternoon for you to try, thanks to Eumundi Brewery! Eumundi Lager, Pale Ale and alcoholic Ginger Beer.

10.01.2022 2020 Summer 6 at Creek - registrations now open! Get your friends, teammates, family together for a Friday night summer fun

10.01.2022 Weekend wrap. Only a couple of games across this weekend as we wind down to season closure. On Saturday the U12 Div 1 side had a tough game away to Wolves coming away with a 1 all draw to round out their season.... The U12 Div 2 side however travelled the short distance to Rochedale Rovers and took the win against the clear competition winners in a tight 1 nil result. Outstanding effort to the team, that is a huge win to round out the season, great work! Saturday afternoon the Capital squad travelled to Ripley for their last away game. The Resies had victory cruelly snatched from them in the dieing seconds of the match to come away in the end with a 2 all draw. The Firsts went 2 goals down in the first 10 minutes but held on and fought back to take the lead at one point but in the end grabbed a 3 all draw. These were both great results for the Cap boys, well done!! Today the U16 side traveled to Centenary to finish out their season and played their hearts out and grabbed a 3 all draw against 2nd paced Centenary. This side has come a long way from shaky beginnings this season and stood proud to the end for the club. Well done Creek.

10.01.2022 This weekend starting Friday and concluding on Sunday, a number of our Creek ladies have entered a side in the 26th Sunshine Coast Masters Tournament in the Over 30's division. Games will be held at Maroochydore FC at Maroochydore Road Kuluin. Their draw has the first games on Friday at 11am and 3pm and another at 11am on Saturday before finals commence Saturday afternoon.... If you happen to be up that way over the weekend please drop in and support the ladies but I know they will represent the club proudly and we wish them every success. Go Creek

10.01.2022 Last chance to get your tickets in our "Win a Camaro for the weekend" raffle. Tickets are circulating out here among teams and will be available for sale across the bar this week. Anyone with sold tickets needs to get them back to us at the club before the draw this Saturday. Raffle will be drawn during the halftime break in the Capital Firsts game this Saturday at Creek. The Camaro will be on display for the draw.

09.01.2022 Reminder there are no junior in-house games tomorrow including squirts nor U9 - U11. All other age groups need to check their draw. We are back next weekend!

09.01.2022 I wish to advise that at last nights AGM the incumbent Executive Committee at Creek was formally reappointed unapposed for another season. No other nominations were received for these positions which tells us one of 2 things, people are either very happy with the club management and direction, or are simply too time poor to commit to such a role which in this day and age is completely understandable. Your 2021 Executive Committee are: Steve Webb - President Kirsty Steen - Vic...e President Ceri Hitchcock - Secretary Zoe Tayler - Treasurer Karen Galea - Registrar I would like to thank this amazing bunch of people for the sacrifices they make, and who along with the majority of our members, coaches and managers delivered Creek a stellar season despite all of the challenges thrown at us including a 4 month shutdown due to Covid. The Club had great success on the park and financially delivered the best fiscal performance for an extremely long time, despite that 4 month Covid shutdown. This puts us in a great position for 2021. There are however a minority among us that despite all that is provided, the support and assistance they receive from the club, and are privileged to enjoy the great facilities and atmosphere Creek as a community club run by volunteers provides, still find fault. To you, I suggest and strongly encourage you to explore your options elsewhere and look to relocate from Creek in season 2021 because it is clear you are not happy here and cannot find what it is you want, and quite frankly we have no room for negativity. In closing and as mentioned last night, particularly for myself and my Vice President, this will be our last at the helm of Creek and 2021 will be a transition year. After 7 and 5 years respectively in Executive roles, so much has been achieved that we are very proud of but it has come to a point where a line in the sand has to be drawn as we are tired of dealing with unwarranted, mindless, minority garbage and character assassination. We will work hard to try and deliver an even greater year for Creek next year and bring on board good people to replace us who can continue the Creek legacy beyond 2021. We will always be willing and available to support and assist that transition and that new committee if the right people put their hands up. Steve Webb President

08.01.2022 The generosity of our membership never ceases. Kate and Cameron McKinlay through their company Mineral Pools Queensland have generously equipped the club with a junior and senior Epipen. As many know an Epipen is a life-saving medication used when someone is experiencing a severe allergic reaction, known as anaphylaxis.... These Epipens have been placed in the alarmed box at the bar with our Defibrilator. Like the Defib, we hope we never have to use the Epipens, but we know following recent events its better to have them than not. Huge thanks to Cameron and Kate for their generosity.

08.01.2022 And the 2020 Creek Summer comp winners are....The Mystery Machine. Shout out to Here for the Beers who enjoyed a few beers after a close match in which they fought hard but it got away in the end. Thanks to all players who participated during the competition and also a thank you to the referees

06.01.2022 Last official event/shift for the year....2020 is a wrap...thank God!! Although just one more social game of football on Wednesday night for our old boys....does it ever end! These Legends are the group we affectionately call our "locals". But the majority are former committee and long time supporters of the club and walking talking history books for Creek. Very fitting they were the last. These guys religiously support the club and the bar a couple of times every single we...ek of the year! Said it yesterday, but again on behalf of the club we thank you. On that note I want to wish all our membership/players/volunteers/staff/supporters/sponsors/committee and followers a very festive but safe silly season. Looking forward to 2021, beware the Tigers!! Steve Webb President.

05.01.2022 2020 JUNIOR PRESENTATION & PHOTO UPDATE: Due to COVID 2020 we have no option but to change the Junior Presentation Day of the past. Unfortunately this year there will be no official junior presentation day however we are still committed to showing the players our appreciation for seeing the season out, it just won't be with the flare of our past Presentation Days. We are still finalising details and will release further information in the next week, communicating with team... coaches and managers seeing as the season now runs through until the end of October. We have further decided that due to the obstacles around numbers and training times that we will not be doing team photos through the club this year. Photos have always been an order and pay scenario but if teams wanted to take their own team photos via parents, please feel free to do so. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact any of our committee members.

05.01.2022 Captain courageous in full flight at the Masters! Look at the focus and determination!

05.01.2022 Our Sunshine Coast Masters competitors started their campaign in the best fashion possible getting 2 wins from 2 games today, 3-0 and 2-1. Tomorrow’s competition will be a little tough after watching their performance today, bring your A game ladies. Best of luck, know you will do the club proud.

05.01.2022 Final event for season 2020 is the end of year breakup for this fine looking bunch of lads, our "Old Boys" The comradry and friendship among this group spans more than 40 years. Merry Christmas fellas, proud to have you as part of the Creek family, look forward to your return in 2021.

03.01.2022 I'm sure everyone is aware by now of the dramatic incident that happened at our club last year when young Tyler Newman collapsed one night at training and had to be revived by an amazing group of individuals at our club, and subsequently underwent significant heart surgery and recovery. Tyler by the way is doing extremely well these days and showing little to no signs of what happened that scary day. Those individuals involved were nominated for and have now received a 2021 L...ocal Legends Award. The awards program is administered by our Local Federal Member of Parliament, Mr Jim Chalmers MP. This is yet further recognition of the outstanding effort and selfless acts performed by this amazing group of people in helping young Tyler. Steve Webb President

03.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE RE TRAINING Any senior teams, or others for that matter, that were thinking about a start to training tomorrow night - think again. Football Queensland in their wisdom have notified clubs that there is to be no Football activity prior to midnight tomorrow night at this stage.... While this clearly contradicts Queensland Health advice which indicates a 6pm target tomorrow night, we must reluctantly adhere to this direction for whatever reason. Further posts will be made tomorrow night/Tuesday morning about next steps and likelihood of events proceeding this coming week, including the kick around on Tuesday/Thursday once we know what our fearless leaders decide! Watch this space.

03.01.2022 This week at Creek! Final senior home round of the season. There has been a slight change to the schedule for this weekend as follows:... Capital Reserves will kick off at 2pm V Pine Hills and Capital Firsts will take the park at 4pm. Pine Hills have already secured the Firsts Premiership and currently sit in first place in Reserve grade with a couple to go. Our lads I'm sure wont be daunted by this fact and will look to take it to the competition front runners on our home turf. The match of the weekend however is the 6pm game between our U18 Div 1 lads and UQFC. This is a top of the table clash against the 2 form teams of the comp and the winner on Saturday takes the Premiership! Come down and support all the players, but especially the U18 side as they strive to win a Premiership for themselves and the club! Go Creek.

03.01.2022 Weekend wrap! This "weekend" started on Thursday night with a catch up match for our U16 side who had to travel all the way to North Lakes with a patched up side which earnt them a draw. They backed that up however today by travelling even further afield to play Caboolture and got the win 5-1. Friday night saw our league leading City 3 ladies cruise to a 6 nil win over Logan Village. It could have been more but the ladies clearly seemed to take their foot off the pedal after ...halftime. Also getting the win Friday night were the City 8 lads who played some great football. Well done lads. Saturday saw wins to both our U12 Div 1 and 2 sides away, 3 nil and 2 nil respectively. U18 Div 3 side travelled to Mitchelton and had success 2-1, while our Capital squad played Newmarket at Newmarket with the Resies getting the win 3 nil but the firsts for the second week running had the game snatched from them in the final minutes. And this morning on Dads Day the U13's played Southside Eagles at home and won it comfortably 8-1, which included a goal scored by Supercoach Davo's son Cooper, his first ever goal. He was a tad happy about it too I hear, well done Coops. See more

02.01.2022 And the winner is....Andrew Shouten! Andrew is one of our U11 parents. Congratulations Andrew, enjoy the Camaro, for a weekend at least. Thanks for the support and thanks to Motorama for making the vehicle available. We will be in touch.

01.01.2022 This week at Creek! Friday night 6.30 pm U18 Div 1 V Rochedale Rovers 6.30 pm Women's City 5 V Springfield ... 8.30 pm U18 Div 3 V Samford Rangers 8.30 pm Women's City 3 V Bayside Saturday Junior football from 8am 10.00 am U12 Div 1 V Western Pride 10.00 am U12 Div 2 V Southside Eagles 11.00 am U12 girls V Mitchelton (Men's Capital squad play away this week at Oxley at 1pm and 3pm) Sunday 9.30 am U14 V Mt Gravatt Come along and support all our teams this week. Match's of the round has to be Friday night with quality football on tap and both our competition front runners on display (U18 Div 1 and Women's City 3) We are in the back end of this crazy Covid season so come home strong all of our Creek teams! Go Creek!

01.01.2022 Weekend wrap. Friday saw both our U18 Div 1 and Div 3 sides have wins 4-2 and 1 nil respectively. Creek Over 35's staged a spirited comeback from 2-3 down with no subs and put away 4 goals to win 6-4 in the end. Saturday our U12 Div 2 side drew 2 all against Capalaba and the Capital lads both had success against Kangaroo Point. Resies got another win 6-1 to now sit comfortably in P2 and the Firsts posted a win which have been a bit hard to come by of late getting home 4-2. Su...nday saw our U16 side chalk up another win 4-3 over North Lakes and our all conquering City 3 ladies toughed out a 2-1 win against Logan Metro after losing a player very early in the first half to what can only be described as yet another questionable referee decision. Well done to all our teams, keep up the good work. Go Creek!!

01.01.2022 Weekend wrap. Saturday morning our U12 girls missed out on a win but salvaged a draw after another fighting display. Very proud of our girls the way they improve week to week. Special mention to our U9 Komodo side for supporting the girls from the sideline. Saturday night we hosted North Brisbane for the Capital clash. Resies unfortunately missed out on the points this week but the Firsts showed true grit coming from 2nil down to secure a 3-2 win.... This morning the U13 side travelled to Park Ridge. The team played great football the entire match with relentless pushes into the forward line which secured them comfortable 3-1 win. Well done Creek.
