10.01.2022 Dear Members For a small club we have done extremely well over the last few years culminating in winning a prized trophy this year for the best performing Southern club for the 2019-20 pennant season. We are currently doing a recruitment drive to increase playing numbers at the club, in particular we are looking for ladies, who might be interested in playing bowls either on a Thursday (commencing at 11.00 am) in our ladies team or on a Saturday from 12.30pm (in a mixed team)... or both if you like. If you are interested please just reply to this email and I will contact you. We will have bowls to borrow and run coaching sessions over 3 or 4 weeks and if you have a friend ask them to come along with you, the more the merrier. We would also be happy for any males who have often wanted to try the game to register and come along and have some coaching lessons to see if it is a sport you would like to play. As you are aware we have reopened the club bar as of Friday, 5th June with restricted hours but we are now letting you know that the bar will be open from 4.30-7.30pm (pre Covid hours) from this week. The cost of drinks will also revert to pre Covid 19 prices. Membership subscriptions were due on 1st May and as previously notified subs have been reduced to $30 due to the club being unavailable during the initial restrictions due to Covid 19. Subs can be paid via bank transfer but now that the club is open you can call in during opening hours and pay via Eftpos or cash. Bank details are BSB: 087 421 A/c No. 82350 1770 if you would prefer to use bank transfer. We have our first Pop-Up van booked for Friday 24th July (after Phase 3 lifting of restrictions take effect on 13th July). They are called Get Curry India and we hope to see many of you at the club to enjoy a drink and a lovely curry or two. Stay healthy, safe and connected Regards Teresa Teresa Newman Secretary CBCC
