14.01.2022 Another resource that may be useful for Remote Teaching/Learning. Tune In Sorry but this is only for those employed by the Department of Education QLD.... I have contact Mike Tyler, and provided you are sharing files within a secure platform approved by DoE such as One Note, you are able to incorporate files from Tune In. Tune In level 3 5 will not be digitised but there may be elements found in the boxes that you could copy and send to your students. Level 1 and 2 have been digitised and can be found here: https://staff.learningplace.eq.edu.au/Pa/Resourceview.aspx In case you do not know what Tune In is: Tune In is a sequential classroom music program for primary schools. Each level includes teachers notes, teaching resources, student worksheets and audio to accompany many of the songs included in the program. It is for teachers who have little or no musical expertise or specialist assistance available and supports the programs of specialist music teachers. This material was originally produced as a kit but as these kits are no longer available, the content is now being digitised and can be accessed online. And I am sorry if you say within my hearing that this is an old resource and therefore not worth anything/much, well I will very strongly disagree. This was produced by excellent Music Educators, over a long time, working with it as they went. Trialing, meeting, discussing..Good practice is good practice and stands the text of time. Of course you can swap out repertoire, add in different elements using varied modes of delivery and instrumental workmake it your own, but the good basic teaching of skills and concepts stands the test of time. And, maybe in these times there are things we can directly copy and paste to use in our remote teaching.
