20.01.2022 Don’t forget Go’n’Run this morning
19.01.2022 As today brings the end to one of our more unusual school years, we look forward to welcoming both our returning and new families to the Cresso Community and, more importantly, back into our school grounds next year. From Wednesday 27 January 2021 our parents & carers will be able to enter the school grounds again. We would encourage parents/carers to continue the "drop and go" model in the mornings where possible - it has been great to see the considerable increase in studen...t's independence in making their way to the appropriate areas. If you are wanting to wait on the grounds in the morning with your child/ren we ask that you please do so in the undercover area or on the Resource Centre veranda. Prep O and Prep C families are able to wait along the caterpillar path near the Prep building. Our preferred arrival time for students is not prior to 8.30am. See more
17.01.2022 Hey! Senior Signing starts tomorrow AT LAST! We have certainly missed our choirs but now we can sign. Any student from Years 3, 4 5 and 6 can come to the music room from 8.15 tomorrow [or as soon as you get here]. It's been a while so everyone is welcome - especially beginners!
16.01.2022 Book Fair next week at Cresso! Flyers and wish lists have gone home. We look forward to seeing the kids before school in the Resource Centre. Unfortunately parents/carers are not permitted onsite for this one.
15.01.2022 The Ooshie swap today was hectic . Mrs Quirk will have another one at first lunch tomorrow . Bring your lunch and your Ooshies down to the hall.
14.01.2022 Mrs Quirk will hold an Ooshie swap day next Tuesday at second lunch. Children should not be swapping with each other at school.Mrs Quirk will hold an Ooshie swap day next Tuesday at second lunch. Children should not be swapping with each other at school.
14.01.2022 Well Mrs Quirk survived the colour explosion run, just. I don’t know who had more paint on them, kids or adults. Mrs Sinclair is deadly. Chappie and Mr Jones were seen chasing each other around the oval. Mrs Quirk has the forgotten hats and a wallet. Fundraising has hit $10000 great effort. Thanks to the staff who stayed and helped clean up. ... Let’s all sleep in tomorrow . Have a great holiday. See more
13.01.2022 Book Fair is on each morning before school this week for students. Orders can be paid for online at www.scholastic.com.au/payment
12.01.2022 The tuck shop is gearing up for a huge day next Friday with a great meal deal first lunch (orders due Wednesday) and as a special treat is also opening second lunch that day selling lollies, drinks and ice creams.
11.01.2022 A message from Mrs Quirk. It is with regret that I have to inform you that due to Covid restrictions we will be unable to have swimming next term. There will be no swimming lessons in PE and no carnivals . On a brighter note, the colour explosion run is gearing up with everyone getting excited. A reminder that parents can watch from the footpath but please practise social distancing and watch out for runners coming through.
09.01.2022 Mrs Quirk is finally at school to clean up after the colour explosion. These are the left behind hats. Thankfully about half are named . All hats will be washed this weekend. Those with names will be returned to owners, others will be put in lost property on Tuesday morning. There are also 3 named water bottles and a named purse (in case you were looking for them).
08.01.2022 Mrs Quirk’s office after a fun run. Guess she’s in next week to tidy up.
07.01.2022 Congratulations to Alex who was selected in the Capricornia boy’s hockey team.
07.01.2022 Hayley, our NEDs performer took us on a 45-minute journey filled with humor, yo-yo and magic tricks, puppetry, and storytelling. She introduced us to a cartoon boy named NED who was on a very important mission: to find his mindset. Led by clues and memorable characters, he overcomes Mt. Everest’s toughest obstacles, uncovers inner-treasures on a Caribbean island, and grows his brain while repairing a sputtering spaceship. Throughout the performance, Hayley shared with us different ways to discover how to activate our growth mindset to overcome social, emotional and academic challenges. We also learnt how important the word YET is!
07.01.2022 Time to say goodbye to our Year 6 instrumental music students. They have shown real commitment to their instrument this year. Congratulations Chris, Kelsey, Tiffany, Zaphiira, Luke, Noah and Leah from 6J and Will, Gabe (hiding!), Annika, Alex, Indiana, Alohma, Malavika, Zaiden, Malavika and Belah-Rose from 6G.
06.01.2022 Unfortunately we are again starting to see a number of parents/carers entering the school grounds. The rules have not changed, the only access available is to the tuckshop and uniform shop (through North Street Extended gate), to the dental van (after signing in through the office) or to visit the school office itself. We appreciate your cooperation with this.
06.01.2022 ONE MORE SLEEP!!!! Wear your white shirt tomorrow it's colour explosion day! We've been practising and now the day is almost here! Mrs Quirk is excited (and exhausted).
06.01.2022 Tuesday 3 February 2021 will be our Parent/Community Meet and Greet afternoon next year. Pop that date in your diary and more details will be shared early in the new year!
05.01.2022 Don’t forget any Year 3 to 6 students are welcome to come to signing tomorrow morning. 8.15 in the music room.
04.01.2022 Don’t forget to have the kids there by 8.15am this morning if they want to come to Go’n’Run.
03.01.2022 Our fundraising is up to $12,300 with 2 weeks to go!! Mrs Quirk would be grateful if you could add your prizes online to help speed things up.
03.01.2022 NEDs yo yo sales update: Thursday - There won’t be a stall set up before school today. Students can still bring their money in a clearly marked envelope to the office and orders will be filled during the day. Monday - The sale will be extended to now include Monday with a before school stall and NED zone practice area at second lunch.
03.01.2022 Parents please note: Shirts are being temporarily "rationed" due to delayed supply from the manufacturer. That is, no more than 3 shirts per student will be sol...d until the next shipment arrives. Last year we sold out so quickly, many families were unable to purchase even one shirt, which was very difficult for new students and those who had grown out of their old shirts. This is a decision by the P&C Executives in order to keep things fair for all families during these unpredictable times. Our wonderful staff look forward to seeing you the week starting 18th January Questions? Please send us a private message. P.S. if you are able to volunteer some time to help in the uniform shop, please send us a message See more
03.01.2022 Our fantastic new shade cover has now been installed over the playground equipment on the 3/4 oval. We are thankful for the Australian Government contribution to the project which is helping us keep our students sun safe.
02.01.2022 NEDs yo-yo products have arrived and will be available for sale to students from adjacent to the Resource Centre before school this Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Money should be put in an envelope clearly marked with the item to be purchased and the child's name and class. As we are still not permitted to have parents/carers in the school grounds, parents/carers may wish to hand envelopes in to the office to be safely delivered to the sales area.
01.01.2022 Very happy children today! Still waiting on the sunshade but we couldn’t wait any longer!
01.01.2022 A message from our friends at Cresso Camp Australia. pp.campaustralia.com.au
