11.01.2022 In 3/4 Bates we have been learning about the nature of contact with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in HaSS. We found out that Aboriginal people had been trading with the Macassan people, of Indonesia, for many centuries before Europeans came to Australia. We made villages showing the lifestyle back then and how they harvested trepang, or sea cucumber, that was then traded to China. We created QR codes, full of information, that we added to our amazing villages. We shared them with our buddy class.
