25.01.2022 A friend asked me to paint her a Magpie recently, so we sat down and I showed her some of my photos from a recent holiday and we agreed on a composition. I am happy with the result. Oil on stretched canvas.....

25.01.2022 Sleeping Beauties...4 foot by 3 foot...oil...These lovely ladies were dozing under a tree with the rest of the family in Botswana. A wonderful trip that I did with some like minded friends in 2014. Probably the bestest ever adventure that Ive ever had. Id been to Africa twice before this trip, but this one included camping in two man tents in National Parks, and driving through rivers. Animals in camp during the night, and lots of photos during the day. Painting this has brought all the memories flooding back. Wonderful, wonderful experience.

24.01.2022 This weekend, 25th and 26th November is the last weekend of my solo exhibition at Red Rock Regional Theatre and Gallery in Cororooke. Its been a fantastic month. Id like to thank all the volunteers that worked so hard to ensure not only my Exhibition, but all the events and exhibitions that the Gallery hosts all year round work so well. I will be at the Gallery Sunday afternoon, so if anyone wants a catch up or a chat to the artist, Id love to see you. The Gallery is open 11am till 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

19.01.2022 Big thank you to the Courthouse Gallery in Camperdown for showing my art work for the last few months. A few water colours have been sold, and the rest picked up to display at my gallery for the Colac Otway Arts Trail which is on the weekend of March 17th and 18th. 14.01.2022 Sadly, I have to tell you all that as from today the Tearoom is closed . The gallery will be open a couple of days a week, and by appointment. Art lessons will go on as normal. I know I am not the only small business experiencing hard times. My hope that anyone reading this will try to buy local and support small business where you can. I am still offering some lovely works of are at reasonable prices. Perfect time to invest in something with Christmas being only a few weeks off. There is also a good variety of greeting cards and matted prints for sale and a couple of very special mounted and framed digital art pieces by Tim Lucas, award winning local photographer. 14.01.2022 Really chuffed, I am having a solo exhibition at Red Rock Regional Theatre And Gallery, Cororooke. In the main Gallery. I would love to see you all at the opening. Or if you cant make it, the Gallery is open every weekend. Its a beautiful space. Its an old Church and it has a beautiful feel to it.

13.01.2022 Perfect time to layby for Christmas. Prices to suit all budgets. Open Tuesday to Saturday inc. come in and have a chat to our resident artist and secure a special gift for a loved one, or simply spoil yourself.

13.01.2022 Limpys Cubs ....graphite ...their mother had a terrible limp, and the odds were slim that she would ever be able to hunt to feed herself, let alone these two cubs. We met then in South Africa in 2013. We all took photos, but my friend Don Carlin, in my opinion, took the pick of the bunch. He has kindly given me permission to draw them. Im very pleased with my results. They are a wonderful memory of the trip. Unfortunately, in 2014 while on a safari through Botswana with Imagine Africa Safaris the news filtered through that Limpy had died. Apparently the limp was caused by tuberculosis, that she would probably have been born with. So, bitter sweet memories. Makes this drawing all the more special for me. I would love to know if they survived. The odds would be against it; but, the odds were also against their birth.

10.01.2022 Have just got my Gallery at Home set up again after six months of renovations to the house. Its been a busy time, but now, just in time for Christmas, I am set up and ready to go. Well almost. A few days of R and R first.

07.01.2022 I am open for the long weekend, and what beautiful weather we are having. If you are out for a drive, I have fine art, very fine scones, organic coffee and leaf tea. Always time for a chat. Ive just finished this little echidna. Ive used carbon and graphite pencil. I visited Jirrahlinga Sanctuary in Barwon Heads a fee weeks ago and took some photos. They do a fantastic job with their rehabilitation of sick and injured animals. Some just cant go back into there natural habitat and they house them at the sanctuary. Its well worth a visit just for the koala talk. The volunteers do them proud .
