13.01.2022 The Cretan Brotherhood of Melbourne and the Pancretan Association of Melbourne with the support of the Cretan Federation of Australia & New Zealand are hosting a Tribute concert for the great Cretan lyrist KOSTAS MOUNTAKIS. The event is marking the 50th anniversary since his first arrival in Australia back in 1971 as the first international musician to arrive in Oceania, as well as 30 years since his passing in 1991. For the first time ever all four Cretan Australian musici...ans are coming together to present his music. Special videos and photographs will also be presented. The event is also under the auspices of the commemorative program for the Bi-centenary of our Hellenic Independence. Dont miss this once off event in Melbourne. Booking details on the flyer.

10.01.2022 Today the Cretan Brotherhood opened the doors to the for the first time since covid restrictions were lifted. It was for a worthy reason, our ann...ual memorial service for members of the Brotherhood who have passed. May their memory be eternal. It was wonderful to see our members back at the club.

08.01.2022 Last night we held a commemorative dinner marking the 154th Anniversary of the Holocaust of Arkadi, which was our first event in eight months. We were honoured... to have His Eminence, Archbishop Makarios present with us, along with the Consul General of Greece to Sydney Mr Christos Karras Greek Consulate of Sydney, Maria Lagoudakis representing the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand as well as representatives from our Major Sponsor Delphi Bank. We’d like to congratulate our dancing teachers and dancing groups for all their work in the lead up to the event - it certainly paid off. We’d like to thank Iho Nyx Band for entertaining us on the night and Pelopidas Catering for their excellent service.
