25.01.2022 RCF#4 - In Barbados a loud cricket means money is coming in; hence, a cricket must not be killed or evicted if it chirps inside a house.

25.01.2022 2016 vintage done. Good quality crop with good yields.

20.01.2022 Another good review for our 2013 cabernet. 91 points Gary Walsh The Wine Front Jan 2016 New label. Vines planted in 1996 and made by Phil Lehmann.... Bramble fruit, aniseed and chocolate with oak well in the background. Medium bodied, nice kind of nutty and chewy feel, some tobacco savouries, bright acidity and a crisp finish with a slick of tannin to clean up. Modestly priced. Delivers the goods. See more

19.01.2022 RCF#3 - You can calculate the temperature in degrees celsius by the rate in which crickets chirp. Count the number of chirps in 8 seconds then add 5. This is method is accurate between 5 and 30 degrees

16.01.2022 RCF#2 - The singing of crickets in the folklore of Brazil and elsewhere is sometimes taken to be a sign of impending rain, or of a financial windfall.

16.01.2022 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

16.01.2022 Another bumper Chardonnay harvest.

13.01.2022 First review - 94 points! Pretty happy with that. Thanks Tony Keys - Key Review of Wine "Very sound, dark, brooding wine. I’m not doing it a disservice when I say it slips down a treat. All it should be and a bit extra. 94 points and great value at $21."

12.01.2022 2015 VINTAGE RELEASE We are thrilled to announce that our 2015 Chardonnay is now available for purchase.

11.01.2022 2015 was a standout growing season for our Chardonnay. Our small 30 Ha patch of Chardonnay vines were hand pruned in the winter months. We then had a warm, dry flowering which was backed up by a beautiful Coonawarra summer full of warm days and cool nights. All in all, the result was a smaller crop with concentrated varietal characters. To ensure that the grapes are harvested in a way that preserves all the hard work we put into the vineyard, we use a state-of-the-art Pellenc Selectiv Harvester which de-stems the grapes in the vineyard leaving only the berries.

04.01.2022 Our new website is live!

04.01.2022 2015 Cricket Flat Chardonnay being bottled.

03.01.2022 Our Cricket Flat label is a playful take on the creature’s melodious nature more often heard than seen. The glyphs of musical notation represent the form of the insect with the elongated musical flat used for the cricket’s head.

01.01.2022 Female crickets do not chirp, male crickets sing to attract them by rubbing their wings together.
