25.01.2022 HURSEY SEAFOODS MVP REPORT FEMALE 1ST GRADE JANURAY 11TH 2021 Round 7 of the Bendigo Bank Cricket North West Female First Grade competitions saw Latrobe and the Wynyard Tigers score strong victories over Devonport and Sheffield. Wynyard’s Montana Bradley continued her brilliant all-round season, producing the rounds best performance as she guided her side to victory with 41 not out, to go along with 3/6 and 2 catches, to score 92 points. Bradley will not receive a Hursey... Seafood voucher on this occasion, as she has already received the individual maximum of two for the season. This week’s $60 Hursey Seafoods dine-in voucher will instead go to her Wynyard teammate Elka Chamley, who bowled a fantastic spell to rip through the Sheffield batting line-up. Chamley took 4/14, as well as getting a direct hit run-out, to score 90 points. Other top performers for the weekend were Latrobe captain Sascha Lowry (66 not out and 1/10) who scored 82 points, Sheffield’s Lucy Foote (3/11 and 3 runs) who scored 63 points, and Devonport’s Steph Shaw (13 runs, 1/28 and 1 runout) who scored 38 points. Bradley (383 points) has extended her overall lead in this award over Tigers teammate Mel Scolyer (306 points), with Devonport’s Martina Steven (222 points), and Wynyard mother-daughter pair Cherie (200 points) and Abbey Hawkins (201 points) making up the top 5.
