10.01.2022 Where did your love of criminology and crime fiction first come from? For me, it was when I was a child and I played my very first game of Cluedo. This then led me to the 1985 movie Clue, and my subsequent adoration of Tim Curry. Would anyone be interested in seeing some form of criminology or detective style games covered in reviews? Or better yet, a few fundraising games nights as dictated by Covid-safe practices? All feedback is welcome!... ~E.
07.01.2022 Amazon Prime it’s your turn today! The Moors Murders is a 2009 documentary looking at the 1960s crimes of one of the most notorious Killer Couples in modern history. Ian Brady and Myra Hindley murdered 5 children between 1963 and 1965 in Manchester, England. Initially they were only convicted and sentenced to life in prison for 3 murders, and it wasn’t until 1985 when Ian Brady purportedly confessed to two further murders that the case was reopened, and the body of a fourth... victim was found at the Moors. Nearly 60-years on, it is telling of how depraved their crimes were when most in England still refer to Myra Hindley as the most evil woman in Britain, even after her death. Sadly, their fifth victim is yet to be found, and Keith Bennett’s mother continued to visit the Moors until her own passing in 2012. ~E. https://app.primevideo.com/detail
