22.01.2022 Update: #southport Seige POLICE HAVE TAKEN A 29 YEAR OLD MAN INTO CUSTODY AFTER A 3HR STANDOFF WITH HEAVILY ARMED OFFICERS IN SOUTHPORT, AND FORCING THE SURROUNDING AREA INTO LOCKDOWN. --------- RESIDENTS WERE ALERTED TO STAY INDOORS. ... SERP OFFICERS FROM LOGAN AND BRISBANE LIT UP THE M1 SOUTHBOUND AND CORDINED OFF STREETS NEARBY AROUND THE SERVICE STATION TO DEFLATE A STOLEN VEHICLE TYRES IT'S ALLEGED THE MAN HAS BEING REPORTED CAR JACKING AND ROBBERY AT SHELL ON FERRY RD TOOK ANOTHER VEHICLE. POLAIR CONTINUED TO TRACK THE MAN WHICH CAME TO A STOP THE CHAOS FINALLY CAME TO AN END WHEN THE ARREST OF A MALE OFFENDER EVENTUALLY SURRENDERED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. EARLIER: THE MALE SUSPECT WHO ARMED HIMSELF WITH A SHOTGUN THE SMALL LOCAL SERVO ON SOUTHPORT NERANG RD HAS HEAVILY ARMED POLICE AND PARAMEDICS ON STANDBY ITS THE SECOND ROBBERY. POLAIR HAD BEEN TRACKING ANOTHER STOLEN VEHICLE WHICH QPS SUCCESSFULLY DEFLATED THE VEHICLES TYRES AT THE SAME INTERSECTION. THE MAN THEN DROVE INTO THE SERVO, FORCING THE ASSISTANTS TO ESCAPE. 14.01.2022 Crime watch gold coast can confirm, the speculative media circus currently on the Gold Coast in relation to missing Larissa has not been confirmed by anyone. We want to reach out to the family and friends of this girl and send thoughts and prayers with hope she will return home. The wanted man at the siege is a return to prison warrant for a parole breach in March.... There's no confirmed facts that this man is linked or was in a relationship.

Unconfirmed reports from members of public; there is an ongoing hostage situation with an unknown amount of people involved. We do not know exactly what is happening and all areas ...are closed from media Anyone located in the area have been told to stay in doors whilst this situation is being handled Avoid on looking or driving near the area as it is likely heavily armed police will be diverting traffic 1km away from the incident Anyone with information to assist the public members in this area are encouraged to message through our support team before posting as this is an ongoing investigation.
