24.01.2022 Search for Wodonga teen Maddison Locke Saturday, 14 November 2020 16:27 Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Maddison Locke.... The 15-year-old was last seen leaving her Wodonga address about 9am yesterday. Maddison was expected to attend school but failed to arrive and has not been seen since. It is believed she is in the Wodonga area and may be planning to travel to Albury in New South Wales. Police and family hold concerns for Maddison due to her age and her disappearance is out of character. Maddison is described as 165cm tall, with a slim build, light brown hair and has braces. Investigators have released an image of Maddison in the hope someone recognises her and can provide information regarding her current whereabouts. Anyone with information about Maddison is asked to contact Wodonga Police Station on (02) 6049 2600.

Total Fire Ban (TFB) as been declared for Mallee region tomorrow Tomorrow’s conditions in the Mallee will be hot and dry, with temperatures reaching into the 40s, paired with gusty winds and a chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.... The combination of heat, strong winds and chance of thunderstorms will significantly increase the fire risk, resulting in a Fire Danger Rating of Severe for the Mallee region. Acting Chief Officer Garry Cook said the weather conditions forecast for tomorrow in the Mallee District pose an elevated fire risk. Tomorrow, the Mallee District will reach a Severe Fire Danger Rating due to the forecasted higher wind speeds and increased grassland curing in the area, A/CO Cook said. As grasses start to dry out with the warmer weather, neighbouring districts are likely to also experience elevated dangerous fire conditions. Western and central districts will likely be affected by storms tomorrow afternoon before it moves across to the eastern region in the evening. TFBs mean no fire can be lit in the open air or allowed to remain alight from 12.01am to 11.59pm on the day of the Total Fire Ban. 17.01.2022 BURNOUTS INFRONT OF POLICE NEVER END WELL On Monday the 30th of November 2020, a Police unit was stationary at the boom gates on Hallam South Road, Hallam. When a vehicle leaving the railway station car park failed to see the Police car and decided to give it a bit. ... Causing the rear end of the vehicle to kick out loosing traction preforming a fish tail burnout. The vehicle was quickly intercepted by the Police unit, who basically had front row seats to watch the burnout. The male driver admitted to the burnout straight away. Checks conducted found the vehicle’s registration to be suspended. The male’s vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1002 and he will be attending court at a later date to face relevant charges. Casey

The 13-year-old was last seen at an address on Booker Street about 3.30pm on 10 November. She is described as 150cm tall with brown hair and eyes and was wearing a black Nike jumper, black bike shorts and black Airforce 1 runners. She is known to frequent the Highett, Clyde or Tarneit areas. Police and family have concerns for her welfare due to her age.
