18.01.2022 We at Crisp Green Homes are as concerned as everyone with what is happening with Coronavirus. We are continuing to work, and have implemented additional practices on our sites in line with government and public health guidelines. Hand washing and sanitising stations have been set up at each site. We are requesting that if you are sick, have recently returned from overseas or have been in contact with anyone recently returned from overseas that you stay home. Minimal numbers of trades will be together on site at any one time and meetings will be remote wherever possible. We are all in this together and with common sense we will get through this. We look forward to things getting back to normal as soon as they are able.

We are thinking of our friends and colleagues who are not in such a fortunate position, simply due to their industries. We are thankful to our staff, our trades, our architects and our clients for sticking with us as we manage our way through this. ... We are staying safe on site by practicing good hygiene, maintaining minimum numbers and implementing attendance and other Stage 4 policies as directed. 06.01.2022 Some further good news for our #Perry project @mrtn_architects Good Life House is shortlisted in this years Sustainability Awards for Singe Dwelling New! The house is 100% fossil free in energy use, electricity from green power and no gas connection. The reverse brick veneer facade to the north is well suited to Melbournes weather allowing for stable internal temperatures year-round. A north facing insulated concrete slab provides thermal mass. The bedrooms rely on ceil...ing fans for summer cooling. The high dormer window is operable and provides high level ventilation and air flushing on hot days. Domestic hot water and in-slab hydronic heating water systems are high efficiency heat pump systems. All windows and glazed doors have excellent thermal performance and perimeter seals. The operable portions of the windows are tilt and turn types allowing passive ventilation of the house in any weather. Cedar cladding used is PEFC certified and the Spotted Gum was FSC certified. All roof water is collected for toilet flushing, laundry and garden irrigation. We encouraged a socially sustainable approach also by generously setting the house back, having no front fence and allowing a direct street to garden connection to the north. 04.01.2022 Nearly there at #Edward @ma_mcmanus Brunswick House is complete and being handed over this week. Its a special moment for its owners, builder and myself. After a thorough assessment to ensure it meets all of our expectations, Im enjoying stepping back and realising what weve accomplished. A 5m wide block. 182 sqm site. Two storeys, three bedrooms, neighbourly respect, preserving streetscape, recessive, light, views, volume, colour, storage, two gardens and clear roof for ...solar panels to come. Covid lockdowns. Checking out how these aspects all came together last week at completion was a real delight. The painter @markandcopainters called this home the feeling young house.
