24.01.2022 $60,000 was handed to Lifeline Macarthur this morning by Mayor Theresa Fedeli from the sales of Camden Monopoly! Thank you to our sponsors & wonderful community who supported this initiative, without you, we couldn’t have made this fantastic donation. 24.01.2022 What a gorgeous morning to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2019, thank you to everyone involved!

24.01.2022 Today our Sydney Western City Planning Panel approved a 244 room Aged Care Facility on Dick Johnson Drive, featuring: basement car parking dining & entertainment areas lounge areas therapy rooms... internal courtyards & landscaped areas Approximately 240 staff will be employed to service residents with high care needs. This is a much needed facility for our residents as well as providing many new jobs. The value of this facility is $46.5 million.

12.01.2022 Very welcome news about increased parking at Leppington train station! Construction will start mid-2020, with 650 extra spaces committed on top of the original 350 extra that were promised at the beginning of this year. Thank you to everyone who campaigned & lobbied for this - our team at Camden Council, particularly Mayor Theresa Fedeli, Peter Sidgreaves MP & all the community members. Thank you to the State Government for hearing our concerns.

12.01.2022 This morning $60,000 was handed to the Camden Wollondilly Domestic Violence Committee - all raised from the sale of our Camden Monopoly sets! Last December I put this motion forward to Council & it was supported by the Liberal councillors & Cr Robert Mills - thank you! Out of 9 councillors, I received 5 votes in support so it just got across the line & I’m so proud it did! Thank you to our wonderful sponsors who this wouldn’t have been possible without! ... And most importantly to our AMAZING COMMUNITY - thank you for supporting this initiative by buying the Monopoly sets & raising these funds for such a good cause (& the other $60,000 will be donated to Lifeline). Lastly, thanks again to Nick Ryan for bringing this idea to me - we did it! #sayno2DV

11.01.2022 Fabulous evening hosted by Camden Region Economic Taskforce! I had the honour of presenting Debbie Roberts with the 2020 Camden Women of the Year award, so well deserved! Such a great ambassador for the Camden region. Our guest speaker, Kerri-Anne, was entertaining, insightful & very candid about how she built a successful career in a tough industry over 50 years.

11.01.2022 Disability groups, please share! I’m so proud our new fully accessible amenities building is now open at Curry Reserve Water Play Park. Our vision for this park was that it be a place where everyone, no matter what age or ability, could relax, have fun & feel included in their community.... $970,000 was invested into the new amenities which includes: wheelchair-accessible toilet, shower & change facilities with space for two carers to support a person with a disability electric adult hoist adjustable adult change table; large unisex toilets large family changerooms wet wheelchairs & storage Also, due to the park’s popularity last season, council has invested an additional $350,000 to provide: Extra shade structures; Additional picnic shelters; Additional seating; Additional BBQ facilities; Additional pathways; & Landscaping including additional trees For details on how to apply for a MLAK key to access the wet wheelchairs & change room, please visit: https://www.camden.nsw.gov.au//wet-play-wheelchairs-curry- The Oran Park Splash Park is due to open in January 2020.

10.01.2022 Julia Reserve Youth Space in Oran Park officially opened this morning by Mayor Theresa Fedeli - what an amazing facility for our community!

08.01.2022 Yesterday marked 102 years since history’s last successful mounted infantry charge - the Australian Light Horse Regiment at Beersheba. The capture of Beersheba enabled the British forces to finally break the Turkish forces in Gaza & secure a water supply. 31 Australian men lost their lives. Menangle Park Race Track was a major training base for the Light Horse & it was wonderful to see the Beersheba Tribute that Club Menangle installed to remember our fallen, horses include...d. Sergeant Major Max Garcia was our key note speaker. He recently retired from the US Marines after a distinguished career & offered us an insightful perspective of what the teenagers & young men would have faced at Beersheba. Steve Wisbey OAM was MC & has a very close link to the charge at Beersheba. His great grandfather Fred Wisbey fought in this battle. Thank you to Len Carter, 7th Light Horse Regiment AIF Menangle Historical Troop President & his colleagues for their wonderful display on horseback at the event.

05.01.2022 Earlier this week I was lucky enough to meet Dr Jana Pittman at Victress Connection breakfast - her journey from world champion athlete & Olympian to becoming a doctor (and finishing first in her class) plus having kids in between was simply incredible - very timely given International Women’s Day today - Jana has proven resilience, hard work, determination & positivity all add up to success!

If all 2,000 copies are sold, $60,000 will be donated to Lifeline Macarthur & $60,000 to Camden Wollondilly Domestic Violence Committee, two very important charities.
