24.01.2022 It was great to get out recently with some of the TCC staff to see what’s involved in our ‘sewer smoke testing’. Council ‘smoke tests’ sewers followed by a neighbourhood doorknock of the area to ensure the drains and sewers around the area are working properly. Special shout-out to Sue Blom- Councillor Division 2 for the great photo! ... If you think you have some repairs / maintenance around your sewers that needs looking at, please let me know Cheers Liam

21.01.2022 What a fantastic ending to our 2-day Youth Leadership Development Course. Huge thanks to the other facilitators involved - Joanne Keune (Speakeze), Joe Mikaele Ah-Kuoi (Strive Lane - Developing Tomorrow's Leaders), Dr Anneke Silver and Keesha Booth. Not to mention the great speakers we had to come and give us their experiences - Les Walker MP - Mundingburra, Scott Stewart MP - Member for Townsville, Phillip Thompson OAM MP - Fighting For Townsville and the Honourable Justice ...David North. Thank you all! The course was aimed at developing tomorrow’s leaders, and letting them know they have a voice in Townsville. Thanks to the Townsville Youth Council for their involvement!! If you know any young people that have a fantastic idea or project in mind, have them contact the Youth Council or myself and we can see about getting it off the ground! Well done to all involved
21.01.2022 Finally! This is fantastic news for our arts community. 100% capacity at indoor ticketed venues, eg THE CIVIC THEATRE! Well done QLD for continuing to abide by the guidelines so that we have been able come out of this even quicker.

I’m joined here with St Vincent’s de Paul Society President Allister Crocker, Bishop Timothy J Harris and some students. ...
