21.01.2022 Tell us what you think about this concept? We are seeking feedback on whether you Iike it, dont like it, think it needs changing, think its not needed etc etc. Have Your Say is about hearing from residents about what you want for YOUR communities. This project is currently unfunded. The consultation is to help guide future investment in infrastructure. I am looking forward to everyones feedback.
21.01.2022 This morning I listened intently to first-hand accounts and stories of peoples relatives that were on the Midlander train, in Bogantungan or in Emerald where the injured were sent. Thank you to all that shared recollections of the tragedy and heroics and supplied memorabilia and to those that travelled long distances to be at the event. If you are in Emerald take the opportunity to visit the Emerald Library to view the Medway Creek Rail Disaster display.

07.01.2022 Getting to our small towns & rural communities is an important part of my job. Over the last 3 days as a team of Councillors & Council officers we have driven hundreds of kilometres (over great roads & some that need attention) catching up with 9 different groups as part of our Community Consultant program. Our region is diverse & what is significant to each community varies. Thank you to Tieri, Mt Ball, Sapphire, Anakie, Willows Gemfields, Bogantungan & Lochington.
07.01.2022 Today Cr Sypher & I did a Cook’s tour of Willows Gemfields, Anakie, Rubyvale & Sapphire to familiarise our GM Communities with these townships. Thanks to all the locals that gave us their time & talked to us about the things they were passionate about in their town. Even after many years of working with the Gemfields community I still learnt something.

04.01.2022 Making more delivers of seniors gift packs today. Happy Seniors Week 2020.
04.01.2022 I want to thank the Central Highlands community for their resounding endorsement of me as a councillor in the election. I have received numerous requests from community members to stand for the position of deputy mayor. I am humbled by the level of trust that has been placed in my ability and the outcomes I have achieved. However, I have made the decision that at this point in time my skills are best placed working as a councillor at the grass roots level. Deputy mayor is definitely a position I would like to take on in a future council term. For now, I intend to continue to represent our entire region in the council chambers and best serve all constituents through advocating for the Central Highlands at the state and federal levels.

02.01.2022 Yesterday I represented CHRC as a panel member at the Senate Inquiry into Regional Inequality in Australia. I spoke on the topics of telecommunications, connectivity and the digital divide, mobile blackspot funding, the need for inter-community public transport, housing availability and affordability and CHRCs desire to enhance the liveability of our communities and the barriers faced in achieving this. Emerald was the chosen location for the first day of the hearing which enabled a number of other local organisations to participate.
