19.01.2022 Before you can test your safety switches, you'll need to locate the switches inside your switchboard. These should be marked separately for each circuit with a button marked 'T' or Test'.

17.01.2022 Did you know, in 2017 new legislation was introduced in Queensland requiring all domestic properties to have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in bedrooms and hallways? As the owner of a home or investment property, you're probably wondering what exactly this means for you. Our smoke alarm article has all the details here: https://www.crmelectrical.com.au//your-guide-to-photoelect

15.01.2022 Inhalation of toxic fumes is a more common cause of serious injury or death in a fire than being burnt. A robust smoke alarm system is critical to alert occupants and neighbouring properties that a fire has started and help is needed.

15.01.2022 We supply and install new smoke alarms, upgrade to interconnected photoelectric alarm systems and conduct testing and maintenance to ensure your fire warning system is as safe as possible. Not sure whether your smoke alarms are compliant? Let us help make sure your family and tenants are protected.

14.01.2022 The landlord is responsible for electrical repairs if you rent a property. Likewise, if you are a landlord, you are responsible to ensure all electrical installations and fittings are in safe working order. All domestic rental properties require a safety switch in accordance with QLD legislation.

12.01.2022 There are some tell-tale signs that may indicate your switchboard is under pressure but there are also subtle signs that you may not notice. We've outlined some of the most common situations where you might need a switchboard upgrade. Read more details here: https://www.crmelectrical.com.au//does-my-switchboard-need

02.01.2022 It might be a design cliche, but good lighting truly is everything.

01.01.2022 We are very proud of my Grandfather Stg. Keith Ivan Caruth McCracken. His military service was outstanding and crossed the globe. In England he experienced air raids. In the Middle East fought the Nazi's and Italians. Part of the first defeats inflicted on Germany. Fought at the seige of Tobruk where he was wounded. Then to New Guinea again part of the first defeat of Japan at Milne Bay. Then up the beaches to Sanananda, up the Owen Stanley Range and Shaggy Ridge, constantl...y fighting an enemy at very close quarters in the jungle. Already considered old after enlisting at 25 he was by then a very, very ill man with years of active service repatriated to Australia. Malaria, dysentry, tropical ulcers, poor diet and hygiene had rendered him unfit and required hospitalisation. In a perverse twist his battalion was sent to fight in Borneo without him where they sustained very high casualties. The 2nd 9th fought from start to finish and proudly never had one member taken prisoner. He never said anything about the war and died when Dad was 21. Over a thousand days on active service is remarkable. We are thankful for the sacrifice he made. Lest we forget. #lightupthedawn #anzac #lestweforget #goldcoast See more
