18.01.2022 It’s been a massive term, so it’s so wonderful to be able to break out the yarn and make something snuggly for my little man. Now he and daddy can match! #wanderlustbeanie #kirstenhollowaydesigns #bwmbloom #winteriscomingcrochetfaster

18.01.2022 Be honest- who else is like me and keeps their yarn stash in shopping bags? For years I’ve had my yarn in bags, tubs and baskets, with little to no idea exactly what or how much I’ve actually got - crazy! I finally had enough this weekend and pulled it AAAAALLL out! Check out my stories to see my progress, and swipe right to see the final result of my spring clean!

16.01.2022 Meet Astro! This cheeky little alien will be working with my Grade 1 & 2 students next term, learning all about ostinatos, borduns and canons #kodaly #orff #amigurumi #musiceducation

14.01.2022 When you’re in Melbourne Lockdown 2.0 with no hairdressing visits on the horizon, it’s time to break out the curls and get a bit crazy! This hair tie is super-easy to make- I made mine using 4ply cotton in about 20 minutes! #curlywurly #crochethairties #crochetaddict #isolationcreation #isolationhair #crochetlove #crochetersofinstagram #hairaccessories

13.01.2022 I spoiled myself with an assortment of Bendigo Woollen Mills’ new sock yarns recently, and have found the perfect pattern to showcase ‘Pastel Dream’ - the newly released Lovely Leaves’ blanket by Johanna Lindahl. My baby boy hasn’t given me much time to crochet lately, but I just HAD to get started on this gorgeous project ASAP! #mijocrochet #bendigowoollenmills #lovelyleavesblanket #bwmsockyarn #babyblanket #crochetbabyblanket #filetcrochet #crochetaddict

12.01.2022 Who loves crochet books? I do!!! There’s nothing better than seeing a pattern beautifully laid out in front of you to get inspiration to strike My local library is closed until September, but before they shut down I snuck in and borrowed the fantastic ‘Unicorn Crochet’ by Katja Gradt. I also scored ‘The Granny Square Book’ on the sales trolley for $2!!! I can’t wait to get stuck into some of these patterns What’s your favourite crochet book?

12.01.2022 I needed a little pick-me-up, so made myself these cute Tunisian leaf earrings What’s your favourite quick crochet project?

11.01.2022 I’ve made SO many of these Double Pom Pom beanies over the last few months, I thought it was time to make one for me! Perfect for this chilly Melbourne day! #crochetlove #crochetbeanie #autumncrafts #crochetmelbourne #handmadewithlove #australianwool #bendigowoollenmills #bwmbloom

08.01.2022 It was my niece’s 8th birthday this week, and due to the Melbourne Lockdown I was unable to celebrate with her as normal I put together this zippy pouch full of goodies & a mermaid keyring (thanks @craftseacreations) to brighten her day My sister says they were well received!

08.01.2022 The past few weeks have been bloody hard, powering through some of the most stringent lockdown measures in the world with a toddler and 12 week old. Some days I’ve wondered if I’d ever get a moment to pick up a crochet hook ever again! But - spurred on by my sleep-deprived 2am YouTube binges - I’ve cracked out the Tunisian hook I bought ages ago and have got stuck back in! Can you guess which stitch I’m learning?

08.01.2022 Aren’t these lanterns just gorgeous?! I fell in love with this design by @oloflilja a few months ago, and couldn’t help making them in all the colours of the rainbow! Available in my Etsy shop now

06.01.2022 What a gorgeous Autumn day! Not too hot, not too cold - perfect weather for my Rainbow infinity scarf! #rainbow #crochet #scarf #rainbowaesthetic #cottonkingstwirls #cottonyarn

05.01.2022 Dear @biroyuncakatolyesi - thank you for creating the perfect pattern for me. I am often out of my mind, and have been known to watch face-shaping videos while feeding a baby at 2am (Seriously though, the Milla doll looks really cute - plus, free pattern!) #crochettoys #amigurumi #lostintranslation #freepatterncrochet #freepatternamigurumi #biroyuncakatolyesi #milladoll

03.01.2022 With a newborn in the house I’ve been up at all hours, and the freezing Winter nights require some comfy and cozy headwear. The ‘Clare Messy Bun Beanie’ by @acraftyconcept fits the bill perfectly (while accommodating my crazy COVID-mum ‘do! ). I also had some fun experimenting with cables using a great free headband by Bhooked. What’s your favourite- hat or headband?

01.01.2022 So many gorgeous squishies just arrived! I’m pumped to get stuck into these - especially the BWM Bloom Pink! Isn’t it awesome?! Time to get my inventory stocked up! #crochetaddict #crochetlove #australianyarn #handmadewithlove #bendigowoollenmills #winteriscomingcrochetfaster #marketlife

01.01.2022 Lazy days of crochet! Loving these beachside colours! @bendigowoollenmills @virklust #poolside #princessmandala #crochet #twotone #crochetmeditation #summertime #cottoncrush

01.01.2022 This has been a tough week With an eight-week old and a rambunctious 2.5 year old in the house on Stage 4 lockdown, crochet has taken a bit of a back seat to washing, toy car races, late night feeds and about fifty thousand episodes of Dog Loves Books Coupled with 2am attempts to put together the perfect business plan and I’ve been left feeling a bit burnt out I’m still unsure exactly what I want to sell - crochet is such a versatile craft! If you are a ‘craftpreneur’ what helped YOU find your niche?
