22.01.2022 This week we had Adam bring his 1979 jeep cherokee chief up from melbourne to get some work done on it, having just had a full restoration and the motor rebuilt and dyno tuned in melbourne, the results left alot to be desired, the poor thing was running a little ruff, stalling and drinking 80 litres of 98ron in just 300km lol, so we started by removing the metering blocks on the holley carb and fiiiting appropriate sized power valve and re-jetted it, some new gaskets and ch...ucked it back ontop of the eldbrock manifold it calls home, then focused our attention on the ignition system, the advance mechanism in the distributor had been modified in a way that it was locked up, with no vaccume advance, which is far from ideal for a street car, so we custom built him a new chev style HEI distributor using his origional body and some custom internals along with some parts out of a new aeroflow small block chev distributor, we put it in our machiene and set the advance curve to suit the high compression 5.9 litre 360ci v8 engine, also set up the vaccume advance to give it the extra timing it needs when at light cruising on the highway, resulting in a awsome throttle response, that nice crisp crack when the throttle is whacked, drives beatuful right through the range from idle right up to 6800rpm achieveing our desired air fuel ratios in all areas, we also re-wired most of the jeep and modified a new bf falcon thermo fan to keep the old girl cool, we also fixed a few other little issues, absolutly imaculate this thing, not a bolt or screw untouched in it . 09.01.2022 Jay's vz ss we had in recently for a cam upgrade, new lifters, head gaskets, reconditioned the cylinder heads and fitted duel valve springs, hardend collets, retainers and spring seats, hardend pushrods at the correct length to achieve the required lifter preload, rocker trunuion kit with captured bearings, oil pump, double row chain and sprocket, pickup and pick up girdle, ARP cam bolt set, ARP head stud kit, and finished itog with a custom tune, pretty cranky little setup but still retains its street manners nicely, video in comments

03.01.2022 It's been a busy past few weeks here at crockers so we haven't had much time for facebooking, so today seemed like a good opertunity, this week we had Phil''s WRX in to fit a haltech wideband module, and can gauge, we checked the afr and found it to be running pretty rich at 9.2:1 umder full load and a extremly rich light cruise, coming in at 13.2:1 so we leaned it of a little to 11.5:1 under full load at 18psi and 14.7-1 at light cruise, so with the fueling sorted we checked... ignition tables and sorted out some spark correction values, and leaving the main spark table as was and gave him the nice street manners the little rexy was crying for..... Phil has some plans for a forged motor and bigger fuel system and turbo in the near future which he has told us he will be getting us to make that happen for him... can't wait... At the moment we also have Tyler's fg xr6 turbo ute in for a few little jobs, , which consists of a intercooler and and hot and cold side piping, Tyler has opted for the HDI brand, 1000id injectors, a walbro in tank 530lph pump, 4inch dump and 3.5inch cat which was already fitted, we also fitted ARP Head Studs, crow cams valve springs, Atomic oil pump gears and we relieved and ported the oil relief circuit to prevent housing cracking, new timing chain, guides, gears and tensioner, turbo oil feed and filter kit from intune motorsports, a full gasket kit through the engine, throttle body ported and polished to mirror finish, aeroflow throttle body elbow and turbosmart BOV, along with a few other repairs it needed while we were at it we also fitted a full engine bolt kit featuring locking washers on all fastness , then we will finish it of with a tune, with this setup Tyler will be able to push the 400rwkw mark fairly easily which will make it a nice daily with well over 1000nm of torque available at just under 4000rpm, can't wait to get it finished when the rest of the parts turn up and get Tyler back out enjoying his pride and joy once again

03.01.2022 We recently completed some work on Kerry Phalans Gas Works Motorsports MGB Race Car, we custom built and fitted a speeduino ECU with a MEGA2560 Controller, we machiened a cam angle sensor for it and added a coolant temp sensor, intake temp sensor, throttle position switch and a clutch switch, all of which are used by the ECU to control the Nissan GTR R35 ignition coils, 2 step rev limiter, launch control, no lift shift, thermo fans and fuel pump, Kerry wanted to retain the SU... carbs so we set them up properly to, with the built motor it makes strong power all the way through to 7200rpm, quiet supprised by this little rocketship turned out to be a cranky little MGB, and it has added a nice touch of technology and reliability to a 1967 model car, no more gapping the points and changing fouled plugs, the car has now completed 890miles of trouble free spirited driving which is a first for a long time according to Kerry lol. 01.01.2022 We have Phills little WRX back in for some work, so he can really start to take advantage of the haltech ECU We are putting together a nice little combo for him, a ej20 that's getting a Roger Clark 2.2litre billet stroker crank and rods, Omega forged pistons, acl race series bearings, 11mm oil pump, oversize Brian grower stainless steel exhaust and inlet valves, stage 2 Brian crower cams, ported cylinder heads, 11mm Roger Clark head studs and block stud kit, and a few other assorted sundries lol, then we will finish it of with a re-tune, should be a stout little combo.
