23.01.2022 Thanks Autism Swim! We are so lucky to have your support and to be provided with your World Class Training and Resources! ---------------------------------------------------- Did you know? Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers and drowning is among the leading causes of death of individuals with Autism.... CrocStars Swim School and Autism Swim are on a mission to change this statistic!

20.01.2022 CrocStars Swim School is celebrating its 3rd Birthday! It is an absolute pleasure and amazing to be working with our little (and not so little) CrocStars, their parents/carers and team of allied health professionals. We feel so privileged to be a trusted member of the broader team all focused on helping our swimmers meet their NDIS and personal goals. The best part is we have so much fun doing it. CrocStars is the only swim school on the Central Coast dedicated entirely to pa...rticipants of the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme and children with other abilities. As a premium member of Autism Swim our teachers continue their professional development in understanding and applying learnings about children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other abilities. As demand for our specialised services grow we are keen to add to our team of fully qualified and trained Autism Swim teachers. Although having a background and experience teaching learn to swim would be an advantage, CrocStars understands the value of attracting people with other qualifications and experience such as Early Childhood Educators, Therapy Assistants, Students studying an Allied Health course such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy to join their team. If you are an experienced swim teacher or have other qualifications and experience working with children, and have a genuine interest in working with children with ASD and other abilities, we are keen to hear from you. If you are interested in knowing about how you can become a member of the CrocStars team, please get in contact via Facebook or email Natalie directly at [email protected] #crocstarsswimschool #autismswim #ndisprovider #ndisgoals #activekidsprovider #nurturingdiverselearners #watertherapy #watersafetyandsurvival #learntoswim

13.01.2022 Happy Birthday to one of our valued staff members Ali! The CrocStars team and I wish you a great year ahead. We look forward to welcoming you back to work when we get the go ahead to reopen!

04.01.2022 We love hearing about our success stories at CrocStars Swim School. We provide specialised 1:1 sessions for children/adults with Autism and other abilities. We focus on transitioning them into a 2:1 or 3:1 group to further work on; social & play skills, fitness and endurance, and to build their capacity to become independent swimmers. In this photo, you'll see some of our 1:1 sessions have been joined together to form a 2:2 group. This allows the Autism Swim Teachers to provi...de a high level of support to each child's individual needs, while coming together for activities to work on such as - turn taking, waiting, copying movements, communication, winning/losing and working as a team. This approach within our program has been highly successful and resulting in many children being able to work on their NDIS goals and learn to swim at the same time! In the top right hand corner of the photo, we have 3 teenage boys who transitioned successfully from a 1:1 session to a 3:1 session over a 6-18 month period. They have worked on building their; - Gross Motor Skills - Fitness/Endurance - Swimming Skills - Overall Strength (especially core strength) - Social Skills - Self Confidence - Emotional Regualtion - Independence and skill development The skills they develop at CrocStars, will further assist with reaching their NDIS goals which involve; - Improving Relationships - Increasing Social and Community Participation - Improving Health and Wellbeing - Improved Daily Living Thank you to the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme for their continuing support. We have been an NDIS registered provider for the last 3 years! #crocstarsswimschool #autismswim #ndisprovider #ndisgoals #activekidsprovider #nurturingdiverselearners #watertherapy #watersafetyandsurvival #learntoswim
