22.01.2022 This was an amazingly well set architectural home in Burns Beach. A credit to the owners. I felt very honoured to provide these home owners with a well executed shade project.... Quite a challenging proposition to cover the decking, outdoor entertainment area with shade along with a good 3D shape in this situation. On the right hand side we have lovely established Magnolias and then on the left hand side of the pool we have the pool edge. *We were able to ensure that the post next to the pool edge is as far away as the pools depth. *The Magnolias are safe from most future pruning with a couple of Lead Wires. Details contain within the comments

22.01.2022 Roof mounts on corners and pulled parallel to a shade sail load will generally rotate the rafter attached to it. I won't tell you all the secrets, but a major reason Alpha Shade roof mounts are well constructed is the rafter noggin brace. In the picture above you can see it in green and under the insitu rafter batten. This new member is a termite protected piece of timber and easily recognised by its external green or blue colour. In some cases additional noggins can be incorporated.

15.01.2022 Sent in by a client in Warwick, Perth. Stunning night time picture of a Rainbow Shade Turquoise Shade Sail. A single flood light is angled upwards to accentuate the greeny blues of the material.... The shade sail itself is a hypar shape and cable edged. Turnbuckles, cable eyebolts and shackles are all 316 Stainless Steel. Posts are 350 grade steel, 100SHS, galvanised and powder coated.

08.01.2022 This Alpha Shade sail is a hypar shape. This is where 2 diagonals are high and the other 2 are low. Features: One of the most important features of this sail and hardware installation is that it follows engineering standards.... On the left hand side is our Barge Bracket system which allows sail attachments on top of tin roof barges. On the far right hand side is an aluminium riser which allows us to gain height on tin roofs. This is a small diameter post that is restrained back by a minimum of 2 stainless steel cables. On the right hand side you can see quite an exaggerated curve in the sail edge. This is to allow the sail to go around a well established frangipani tree. Tree branches and objects touching shade sail edges will very quickly wear through the sail causing premature failure.

07.01.2022 Merry Christmas from Shady Land!!
