09.01.2022 Last Thursday, we took a fantastic group of oat growers to Wahgunyah for a guided tour of the Uncle Tobys factory. It was excellent to see the amount of precision, input and care that is involved in taking our oats from a raw commodity, right through to a delicious packaged product. The team at Unlce Tobys were also quite helpful in any enquiries our growers had, as well as being extremely receptive to opinions on how they can shape the future of Australian Agricultre to accomodate and attract young people in to the industry. We would like to thank everyone involved to make this happen, the day was a great success.

06.01.2022 During the first week of August, Greg and Jason travelled to Malaysia to visit current and potential customers. First stop was Kuala Lumpur where meetings were held with grain buyers from Nestle. Updates with the current Oat, Barley and Wheat crop were explained and future export opportunities were also discussed. Next stop was Penang where the guys visited Federal Oat Mills. Federal Oat Mills import 30,000 tonnes of Australian Oats every year and have had double-digit growth in their product during the last 12 months. The company mainly buy from W.A but are keen to have a supplier from the East Coast to minimise their risk of supply for future years.
