25.01.2022 Three more corridors have enjoyed their Renny Dinners at Ross and Jenny’s home this week! Lockley / House has set the record for the longest long table so far this year!

24.01.2022 ‘Swotvac’ study break activities this week included some painting of plant pots. This certainly uncovered some talented artists!

22.01.2022 During Swotvac, the kitchen staff treat the students to special themed lunches. Today it was a Japanese inspired menu with Bento Boxes being the favourite!

22.01.2022 Maxine Allwood did a great job as the Cromwell speaker for the ICC Oratory Competition last night. The topics ranged from choosing the gender of your child, to horoscopes. A great effort, and we were placed 5th overall in the strong competition!

21.01.2022 A win to our Rugby boys! 19-17 against Union College in an excellent fast paced game to finish their season! Top effort!

20.01.2022 Cromwell Basketball Grand Final Winners! Well done boys! A great close game against St John’s tonight!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our Cromwell Bandfest stars who performed to a (COVID) capacity crowd yesterday, competing against the other 9 colleges! They played 3 songs, including a brilliant original composition Cabin Fever and were placed 5th out of 10. 20.01.2022 Great to see Jenny and Ross’s Corridor Dinners reinstated! The big square dining table has been replaced with a COVID friendly long table in the lounge room! The BC boys enjoyed their meal and a chat tonight!

17.01.2022 Cromwell is proud of its strong academic culture. Academic Breakfasts value add to our students. This morning Sarah Campbell, from the Student Employability Centre at UQ, spoke to students regarding the Summer/Winter Research Programs UQ conducts every year. Students were led through the benefits of the program, the vast number of research programs available across all five faculties, the application process and the financial and employability benefits. A big thank you to Elouise Parker (Academic Mentor) for organising the breakfast.

12.01.2022 Great to see a lot of families visit Cromwell on Open Day today! Thanks to our fabulous students who once again volunteered in droves to lead the tours, and to our staff team for their organisation of the varied logistics ranging from merchandise to the shuttle bus! A great team effort from our students and staff today, bringing Cromwell alive to prospective families!

10.01.2022 Our Cromwell athletes performed brilliantly last night at the ICC Athletics Carnival. In both the field and track events, there was great effort and some impressive results. COVID restrictions significantly limited spectator numbers but it was still a great night! UQ Sport will release the final results on Monday

09.01.2022 Cromwell did well in the recent ICC Art Show Competition. With only 17 points separating 1-10 place, we came 7th overall with some notable individual pieces. Ish Akram took out the category of Individual Painting Winner, and Tom Hallam was placed 2nd in the Speed Painting. Once again a top effort from quite a few Cromwell students in ICC Art Show!

06.01.2022 Valedictory Dinner Last Tuesday, 20th October, the Valedictory Dinner was held at Hillstone, St Lucia to farewell our 41 Valedictorians. Our guest speaker was Ms Rowena English who attended the college from 1993-94.
