24.01.2022 Cronulla parkrunners were greeted by the sun glistening on the waters of Bate Bay this morning. And a sizeable contingent of 80 runners and walkers enjoyed the beautiful conditions. And what a morning to complete your 100th parkrun! Congratulations Darren! Well done also to Brent and Hollee for finishing first.... A big welcome to Malcolm, Karen and Justin who began their parkrun experience today. Congratulations to Rachelle, Penny, Liam, Vanessa, Kate, Gabrielle, Alison and Heather in achieving PBs. And thank you to our wonderful volunteers Kerry, Martin, Bruce, Michael, Daniela, Leanne, Alina and Bryn. There are plenty of volunteer spots available in the weeks ahead if you are interested. See you next week.

24.01.2022 Good Morning Cronulla parkrunners! This weekend I am part of a team taking on the awesome 42.2 in 42 challenge. So I’m heading out the door now to get 5k in - while representing parkrun - but will be online when I get home to share more parkrun related fun! Due to the awesomeness of the parkrun grants writing team I don’t actually have any grants to write today So this morning during parkrun time I will channel my parkrun energy into my everyday life as ‘Scientist Heather’ at my fun and exciting work-from-home station!

17.01.2022 Happy Friday Cronulla parkrunners! Tomorrow morning I will as usual be on here from 7-11am before heading out for a (hopefully) incident free socially distancing parkrun I would like to put a challenge out to our community for the coming week - when you are out running and walking or just heading to the shops don’t forget to smile and say hello to others who are out and about. I know during this time of uncertainty it can be hard to feel positive and upbeat. For me a gentle...man saying hello yesterday on my morning run as well as a worker at Central train station telling me to have a great day on Tuesday really helped to brighten my mood. We all need to lean on each other right now and a smile can go a very long way! Happy Socially Distancing parkrun this week everyone ~ Heather
