07.01.2022 John Shimooka passed away this week. Born in Hawaii he moved to Cronulla in 1999 after travelling the World and competing on The Pro Tour throughout the late 80s and 90s reaching 19th and a second place at Bells Beach behind his good friend Sunny Garcia. Shmoo was well respected and his countless friends are shattered by his loss He was 51. RIP This sequence was taken mid to late 80s on his first trip to Aus. when he competed in The Pro Junior at Narrabeen by Chris Stroh.
