09.01.2022 An excellent opportunity for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join us has arisen. As a qualified mechanic you will be responsible for the day to day servicing and repairs of trucks, trailers and company cars. The successful applicant will require the following qualifications and experience; Prefer you hold current HR licence... Must hold current heavy vehicle trade certification Must have over 5 years experience Experience in American & European trucks is essential Excellent problem solving and fault finding skills Good written and verbal communication Ability to Weld Strong WH&S Focus Experience in trailer repairs preferred but not essential, you will be shown if required Some Hydraulic and electrical experience would be an advantage After hours breakdown experience Ideally the suitable candidate will be a self-starter who understands the need to ensure paperwork and reporting is up to date. On offer is a fully maintained company vehicle as well as a competitive salary based on experience. Our yard is based in Western Sydney as it is a local position but we go out of town occasionally and share that around. This is a full time night shift position... American and Euro prime movers, training in our gear/machinery will be provided, documented and signed off before going out on your own. Mandatory drug/alcohol testing and medical required for successful applicants. The salary is over $100,000 per annum We believe and practice a safe work life balance. 5 shifts on one week, 6 shifts the next week. 8-10hours/shift, occasionally 12 but very rare.
