This gave us the opportunity to debate teams from the South Coast and Sydney as well as teams from Mulwaree High. The students debated on topics about Education, Media and Sport. Well done to all participants, it was great to see your enthusiasm, clear thinking and teamwork. Dr Elizabeth Bollen | Debating Coordinator

20.01.2022 PRESENTATION ASSEMBLY & EVENING The Crookwell High School community celebrated the achievements of students last week. Class awards were presented to students in a daytime assembly and major awards were presented to recipients at an evening ceremony, with limited parents attending. 17.01.2022 YEAR 12 GRADUATION Today is a very special day. For Year 12 and for their families.... We were so pleased to be able to give Year 12 the send off they deserve, with a formal graduation ceremony at school today. This year’s Year 12 has shown resilience in a very difficult year. They have had to adapt to online learning , and uncertainties earlier in the year regarding the HSC exams. Thankfully everything fell into place and Crookwell High School was proud to celebrate their graduation today. Well done Year 12. Mrs McCormack | Year 12 Advisor.

16.01.2022 CROOKWELL HIGH STUDENTS' ART CHOSEN FOR NEW GOULBURN HOSPITAL MURAL Four designs were chosen from Crookwell High School for the Goulburn Base Hospital mural project - out of a total of nine selected from four local high schools. The panel consisted of 6 local Aboriginal Community members, health and arts professionals. The following students from our school had their work chosen: Cody Tate, Brock Chudleigh, Tahnee-Lee Della, and Kiara Storrier. I would also like to congratula...te the other students who participated enthusiastically in the workshop: George Lee, Luke Palmer, Georgia Locke and Jimmy Locke. Thanks to Jodie and Monica for working with the students. It has been a very valuable experience for everyone involved. The Aboriginal Design Agency will now take the selected artworks and incorporate them into the overall mural and should be ready in about a year. The mural will be four stories high and will be behind the main staircase forming a major artwork for the new development. Watch that space! 14.01.2022 OUR MUSICIANS SHINE AS 2020 HUME CON SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS Misha O'Brien, Aidan O'Brien and Lachlan Nagle performed capably at the Hume Conservatorium's recent 2020 Scholarship Holders Concert, which was streamed live on the Hume Conservatorium Facebook page. In a year where performance opportunities have been few and far between owing to COVID-19, it was fantastic to see our talented musicians taking their turn on stage. The concert opened with an ensemble rendition of Viva La... Vida which was spectacular, involving all Hume Con. scholarship holders. Aidan was our first CHS soloist on stage presenting his technically challenging HSC bass arrangement of "Thinking Out Loud", Misha sang a moving ballad, "Oceans (Where my Feet Fall)" which showcased her expressive voice and Lachlan played "Orion" by Metallica, maintaining CHS's love of metal music. Congratulations Misha, Aidan and Lachie, you can all take pride in your fantastic 2020 musical achievement. Thank you to all at the Hume Conservatorium who continue to provide ongoing support to all our musicians! Mrs D Woolley | Music Teacher See more

13.01.2022 YEAR 6 TASTER DAY Year 6 students finally (thanks COVID-19) got to come and experience a day at Crookwell High as part of their transition to high school. All students had a great day and made new friends. They participated in taster lessons, getting to know you activities and enjoyed purchasing their lunch from the canteen - the slushies were a hit! Thank you to the Year 9 students who supported the primary students throughout the day. Looking forward to seeing our Year 7 2021 students all again next Tuesday for Orientation Day. Kerri Daly | Year 7 2021 Advisor
