03.01.2022 Fall armyworm is continuing its spread despite the cooler weather. https://thebeatsheet.com.au/large-flights-of-fall-armyworm/

03.01.2022 Border Update!!! Good news on the border front, the Ag exemption has been extended through till the 31st of Dec. This gives us a run through to the new year wit...hout the monthly review. AgForce is working with the Chief Health officer and the state Government to create a long term plan for Ag and the border; updates will be provided as they develop. As the year is speeding away and the Branding and Harvest season looms ever closer, having the ability to cross to interstate properties to process livestock, and crop processes are just as pressing as earlier in the year with field preparation and the stud sales. Please remember they will require three key things when entering Queensland. points 4 onwards are also handy to have to prove your case to the border officer. 1. The Class exemption letter from the Chief Health Officer to the Director general attached. Which is now border restriction no 15 dated the 13th of October 2020. 2. Proof of person (Drivers license) 3. Proof of Activity a. This one is where I would recommend having documents proving you are a livestock producer, land rates ect b. If attending sales a letter from the sales vendor, explaining that the induvial is coming to QLD to inspect livestock, and reiterate in that letter that these are high value animals and the long term impacts to ones herd should they get it wrong. I have been using the 10 year impact to a herd. In short why it is essential they inspect the livestock. 4. Your own COVID plan, to demonstrate they have not been exposed to the virus, and the measures taken. 5. Itinerary. a. This is another key aspect for NSW residents coming to QLD, a plan on where they intend to stop and stay. They may not check all the documents however, from the feed back I have received the more documentation to prove you are doing the right thing the better. As throughout this whole process if you have any question or need assistance please don’t hesitate to call Regional Manager Andrew Sinnamon on 0427144298 or email [email protected]

01.01.2022 It has been a long time coming. Thirty in a room at a time ..COVID safe of course. Many more joining us online. Paul McIntosh kicking of our workshop in Goondiwindi this morning. Looking at the big 'what ifs' of agriculture.
