08.01.2022 If you find yourself working from home, we have three simple suggestions to keep your spinal health in check: 1/ Get a good desk chair. You dont have to spend a fortune, but its important for the chair to roll, be height adjustable, have low arms (that go under your desk), swivel and have an adjustable back support. Many workplaces are allowing their staff to take home their chair from the office, so before you outlay any cash, check in with your workplace to see if this ...is possible. 2/ Add a monitor to your desk space. Working off a laptop alone can cause neck pain and headaches. Ensure the monitor is positioned high so that the centre of the monitor is at eye level or even a little above. Again, check in with your workplace to see if you can borrow a monitor before you go out and buy one. 3/ Take regular breaks - move around and stretch regularly. Muscles and joints are designed to move. The longer you stay in one position the more likely you will have issues. We will be posting more tips so be sure to keep following our page! Stay healthy, Ben Allan, Jamie Sparrow, Ben Smith and the rest of the team at Cross Rd Chiro

04.01.2022 ASSISTED STRETCH SESSIONS One on one stretching with Olivia (our remedial massage therapist) covered in part by your private health insurance. 30mins - $30 Upper body or lower body 1hour - $60 Whole body... What is a stretch session? Using a specific technique called PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) Olivia will be able to more effectively stretch your muscles and increase your range of motion. How it works? PNF works by triggering a reflex in the brain that calms the muscle to prevent injury. Effectively your brain sends a relax message to the muscle so as it doesn’t tear. BOOK A SESSION TODAY AVAILABLE EVERY FRIDAY FORTNIGHT.
