03.01.2022 Helen and Jose made the trip west to the NSW Development/Intermediate squad training at Glen Oak, near Wellington (Mudgee). After showjumping and cross country lessons, we practised riding to time - with the help of CrossCountry App minute markers. First we rode a two minute course without jumps, then with jumps, then a 3 - 4 minute course with jumps. It was really helpful to see the difference and we learned how to set up a similar exercise at home. On Saturday night we... were invited to give a talk about the app - it's such a great opportunity to meet our users and find out how useful the app is to so many. A huge thank you to Carlene Barton and Simon Barton for hosting us all on their beautiful Glen Oak property and to Carlene, @Sandhills - Craig and Prue Barrett and Sandy Lucas for the wonderful coaching and to Cudgegong Jump Club Inc. members for the catering and all the hard work on the courses - including the huge job of transporting so many cross country jumps from the old Mudgee ODE site.
