21.01.2022 MEMBER MILESTONE Congratulations Louise Ramsdell on clocking up over 750 classes. Louise is an essential part of our community. She joined us in June 2014 and has averaged around 3 classes per week. On top of those 750, she has done one weekly PT with Trish to speed up her progress. Her biggest achievement is learning the rope climb just before her 60th birthday. Nowadays the Toes to Bar are her little project. 19.01.2022 CFD Health & Fitness will be open again for Outdoor training from Wednesday 28th Oct. Capped at groups of 10 people. Our indoor training will re-commence on Monday 9th Nov as well in groups of 10 ( that is in less than 2 weeks). It is now time to wake up out of Hibernation and spring into Fitness all of course in a Covid-safe manner. I know, I have by now some curves of my own to flatten. What about you?... On top, we have 400m of wide and open training space with lots of natural air-flow. There is plenty of equipment to go around to avoid sharing with others and to keep the distance. 03.01.2022 1 DAY TO GO and I'm sure some of you are chomping at the bits.. Here is my advise about getting back into training safely after lockdown for at least the next 6 weeks. - Stay light with higher reps Do not smash it with heavy loads. ... - 15 reps unbroken is a good rep range to start - if you can’t do 15 quality reps don’t go up in weight. - Work on good form and full range - Your mobility, strength and fitness are not like it was pre-Covid. - Meaning, if you can’t go to full depth in each and every rep do not go up in weight. - Control the weight you use - Do not use momentum to throw weights around. - Now is the time to build a good foundation and not to be hero. - Don’t give it 100% at the beginning Take it easy, don’t kill yourself and keep something in reserve - Remember - you still have to function outside the gym.
