SLEEP 8 HOUR SLEEP ROUTINE Within that 8 hours - 6/7days - No electronic devices ON in the bedroom (NO - TVs / Phones / Laptops / Tablets etc - phone alarm ok) - Avoid solving problems or thinking about the next day by using a relaxation technique - Incorporate gentle stretching, breathing exercises, reading hard copy books or listening to music. - Sleep . . . . . . . . . . . . Active Recovery . Use this time to focus on you. Be mindful of your breathing and try to silence your mind. Busy lifestyles can be counterproductive to our health. Take some time out to yourself. Active recovery helps: . Physical benefits: - Reduce lactic acid build-up in muscles - Eliminates toxins - Keeps muscles flexible - Reducess soreness - Increases blood flow - Helps maintain your exercise routine . Mental health: - Gives you time alone or real time with friends and family (no phones allowed here more on this in coming weeks ) - Gives your mind time to recharge - Focus on the present - Great time to remind yourself of your goals and what you want to achieve .
