17.01.2022 This is Tom. Tom gets up and trains every morning at 5am (yup 5am). Tom is super consistent. Tom listens to the coach and applies correction / cues to his training.... Tom has progressed immensely since joining TC and continues to grow and develop his skill and technique week in week out. Tom has actually mastered the pull-up, but this week has gone back to basics. Working to master the base of any rig work ‘the kip'. Without a strong foundation built around the kip the technique required to execute a pull up/chest to bar/toes to bar/muscle up is compromised. Consistency of this training will have Tom getting those muscle ups ... very soon! Sometimes we all need to go back to basics - whatever level we are at. Work the basics. Master the basics. Dan not only have you been an exceptional coach, you’ve also been a fun coach. Always good for some in-house banter, impressively consistent with Tiger Print Tuesday’s and only one sick day under your belt (). ... You’re one of the boys .. but you have been nothing short of a great coach .. and friend to the ladies. So thank you for being apart of our Inner West tribe! We are going to miss you immensely. 13.01.2022 Wooo it’s the weekend!! Heading out this Long Weekend and don’t want to blow out!! Here are some simply tips to help you stay on track ... aaaand still allow some cheeky fun. ... 1. Make a plan! If you go free-styling the shiz out of the weekend, you’re more than likely going to have some regrets come Tuesday. 2. Limit yourself to an exact number of drinks. You don't always need to drink the entire bottle (shock horror). 3. When eating out - look at the menu, choose something healthy and delish, then put the menu away! Easy peasy Japaneze. 4. Drink vodka and mineral water. 5. Steer clear of cocktails (well, maybe just have one ). 6. Make good choices. If you’re going out for a long lunch - then keep breakie and dinner light (filling your plate with lean protein, salads & veggies). 7. SWEAT! For at least 20mins a day (indoors, outdoors, in the bedroom, whatever works for you ). 8. Most of all have FUN! Happy Long Weekend everyone~ Coach Sara!

For our new TC members who are unsure what the hell we are talking about - The OPEN is a 3 week competition that unites hundreds of thousands of athletes around the world who compete in the world's largest participatory sporting event in history. Ask anyone who has been around the CrossFit block, it is tonnes of fun. ... An opportunity to showcase your strength, speed, skills, an opportunity to compete against your mates, an opportunity to get nervous as hell but then love that feeling when you’ve done something that you never thought possible. The great thing about The Open, is that it is completely scaleable. CrossFit HQ will release a workout with a Foundation option, Scaled option, RX option (really the same as our in-house workouts). 09.01.2022 As we know last week two horrific explosions occurred at the port of the city of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Causing at least 220 deaths, 7000 injuries and left an estimated 300,000 homeless ... overnight. What can we do to help?? ... TC have teamed up with a beautiful, caring family from the Inner West, who are sending shipping containers over each week with things that are desperately needed. Everything donated will be sent directly to Tripoli Port, where the Lebanese Red Cross will then distribute. Do you have around the house; spare .... . . Adult - Clothing (any type, especially Winter) - Beanies - Gloves - Jackets - Blankets (Whatever old / new clothing that you don’t wear). . Baby / Kids - Clothing (any size) - Long life milk - Powdered milk - Baby formula - Nappies (any size) - Alcohol free baby wipes - Baby Blankets / Wraps . . Please bring into TC any of the above items, we will collect from you over the next 3-5 days, then get everything onto the containers for immediate distribution. It’s times like these where something so little to us, can mean so much to another human. 04.01.2022 Topic: RECOVERY! With the completion of the Crossfit Games final qualifiers, it can be easy to have a bit more in the motivation tank after watching the top guys and gals crush it. Now before you head into the gym and start crushing it 7 days a week #nodaysoff - hear me out. ... Training creates a stimulas (stress) which forces our bodies to adapt and grow from. Recovery methods like rests days are where we can reep the benefits from all of our hard work in the gym and is where the real magic happens, just like in the bedroom....sleep of course. So, here is a quick and easy way that helps me to stay healthy and feel recovered. You can also implement this recovery system into your week so you can perform better in the gym! 10 Point system - Every recovery method is worth 2 points. - Sleep 8 hours p/d -Stretch session -Massage -Swim -Sun exposure 2 hours p/w -Rest day -Good nutrition -Stretch after every class .... The list goes on. The main thing to focus on, is the big rocks that make you feel good and that fit into your schedule consistenly. Gold standard is 10 points plus. 03.01.2022 When you don’t want to workout, is when you need it the most. Metcon Every 3min. x 6 Rounds: 10 Jerks 50/35kg... 10 KB Swings 24/16kg 10 Wall Balls 10 Handstand Push-Ups RX+ is adding 1 rep each round to each movement. So round 2 would be 11 of everything... Then 12... And so on... NO QUITTING. Once you can not finish the 13 set for example, just go back to 10s immediately and finish.

01.01.2022 This day 5 years ago Total Conditioning was created. . . This year we celebrate a little different, not with our usual giant workout and party celebrations. But that doesn’t take anything away from the specialness of this day. .... . Sitting here 5 years on, I'm more proud than I’ve ever been of what we have created - our community has never been stronger, even through these unprecedented times of 2020. . . We are a gym filled with resilience, strength, courage and most of all ... friendship. . . I’m enormously grateful to everyone who has been apart of our journey for the last 5 years. Each and every one of you played a part in who we are today. . . From the bottom of my heart, the biggest thank you to those who stood by and supported TC throughout the shutdown of 2020. Not only did you help keep the doors open, more than anything you helped one another stay strong and mentally healthy during those times. . .
