23.01.2022 3 Sleeps to Benchmark Week - When the workouts are released this weekend there will probably be 1 or 2 benchmarks that you look at and say, Ugh, I DON’T want to do that. Or, there will be a few workouts that you do and think I will be so bad at that? And right there, you have self-identified the exact workouts that YOU MUST come to if you want to improve your fitness!! . We don’t become better athletes by working our strengths Allow your weaknesses to tell you what ...you need to do, it is in these moments where the most improvement is to be made. The days you think, this is going to be a struggle, are the days where you need to be in the gym the most. . The best way I can describe a weakness is, like wrinkles in your CrossFit armor, taking the time to iron out those wrinkles over time will result in becoming a better athlete, and will also make you that much more confident when attacking daily workouts See more
23.01.2022 5 Sleeps to Benchmark Week! Which also means we are giving you the opportunity to try CrossFit for FREE. We have limited spaces available. Comment YES below to get started . Time to check in on your health, agility and fitness benchmarks. We will test every element so you can celebrate progress and identify areas for improvement. We run benchmarks every few months so athletes can get a handle on how they are progressing. With the constantly varied methodology that we use in CrossFit, we rarely repeat workouts. This can make it hard to see progressions, in fitness especially. . Get yourself down to the gym next week and lets test your fitness! Scaling options for all movements and workouts as always, Each day caters from Beginners to Elite alike!
22.01.2022 If you want to be truly successful at it, you cannot be content with pretty good. Tim Grover . Pretty good is decent. Pretty good is average. Pretty good the box.... Pretty good is the enemy of excellent. . How we do anything is how we do everything and there is nothing in life worth doing half-assed. . Reflecting back on this week, let’s be critical with ourselves. What actions this week have been pretty good? It’s rare for situations to happen just once. We can almost guarantee they are coming around for a second time sooner than we think. . Let’s take those pretty goods.... to great . #crossfit #crossfitlifecsp #community #strength #performance #TeamCSP #LifeCREW #cameronpark #comptrain #mindset See more

20.01.2022 Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible to your approach. - Tony Robbins . As we look toward this week’s workouts we may have a clear plan of attack, I will train 4 days this week, I will set my alarm 15minutes earlier tomorrow We cannot predict how our week will shape up. We can’t always see what is ahead on the road. We don’t know if there will be a storm, a road construction or traffic accident pushing a lengthy detour on our drive. But all of which can c...ause a change in our planned arrival time. . Direction without flexibility is a recipe for disaster, trying forcing a path that may not be possible. Yet flexibility without direction is just as harmful, living like a leaf blowing in the wind. . It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN, we hit that roadblock and we will need to adjust our direction. But the destination does not change. Dedicated to the WHAT we are after, but being flexible in the how. . WOD: Metcon (AMRAP20 - Rounds and Reps) . Today's wod is all about those toes to bar! Keeping midline tight and focusing on the transition between our two positions superman and hollow. Continuously press down on the bar. In the superman, your chest should be in front of the bar. On the hollow body, press down on the bar so your chest is behind it and you can see in front of you. Once you get your momentum through your hollow body and Superman, then focus on keeping your lats engaged through the swing. . 10 Power Snatches 42/30kg 20 Overhead Squats 30 Toes to Bar 40 Double Unders . Metcon (Time) 3 Rounds for Time: 5M Single Arm OH Walking Lunge Left 22.5/15kg 15 Single Arm Deadlifts 5M Single Arm OH Walking Lunge (Right) 15 Single Arm Deadlifts (left) Rest 60secs. . . . . . . . #crossfit #crossfitlifecsp #community #strength #performance #TeamCSP #LifeCREW #cameronpark #comptrain #mindset See more

17.01.2022 You can’t build on top of success you don’t acknowledge. - Dallas Travers . There’s a dark side to being so driven. We can be so focused on constantly improving that we can forget to look back. And acknowledge where we came from. I bet we can all relate to a time where we landed a PR lift, or a raise at work where we *were* psyched, but only for mere seconds. Before we know it, we’re already thinking, what’s next? The finish line always moves. . It’s not wrong to be pass...ionately driven. That’s not where the harm comes from. Harm comes when we DON’T celebrate our victories! . We aim to live in a state of true blissful dissatisfaction. Grateful for every experience that comes our way, all the while in the pursuit of the next BEST version of ourselves. Think of it less as a pat on the back, and more of a foundation that we build on. As the quote above teaches us, we can’t build on top of the success we don’t acknowledge. . . . #crossfit #crossfitlifecsp #community #strength #performance #TeamCSP #LifeCREW #cameronpark #comptrain #mindset See more

03.01.2022 4 Sleeps to testing week - What is the point of the Testing? . Testing has several advantages for each of you as athletes: . (1) This is a change to nail down some benchmarks that assess your present level of fitness, and allow you to re-assess these benchmarks at the end of a training cycle.... . (2) You can see where you areas of strength and weakness lie, and make any adjustments to your training as needed. Seek out your coach to help you attack weaknesses! . . For the coaches: (1) It gives us clarity as to where you as athletes are at in specific elements of fitness. . (2) We can access whether the programming is effective and what the focus of the upcoming cycles should be. . (3) Provides opportunity to better help YOU to achieve results! . . PUMPED See more
03.01.2022 "Head, Heart, Hands. - Jim Kwik . Every action originates as a thought in our head. But from there, thoughts of course don’t just materialize into existence in front of us. It doesn’t go head to hands. There’s a step between that decides if it’s going to actually happen: heart. . It’s the emotional connection. Our level of buy-in. We could have the most grandiose plan of all time, but if we aren’t bought in with our heart in full we know it will never work.... . It’s less about what we’re doing, and more about why we’re doing it. Our success is less about which path, and more about the level of commitment we bring to it. . As we move through our day, let’s consider this concept of Head, Heart, Hands. If we find ourselves struggling with something a specific career, a relationship, a lifestyle what is causing it? Are we bought in? . Head, Heart, Hands. Our reasons are what will reap our results!
