04.01.2022 CROSSFIT - What is it? Constantly Varied Functional Movements done at High Intensity... What does that mean?... The CrossFit Training Methodology encompasses all functional movements - Push, Pull, Squat, Hinge coupled with Gymnastic Movements and High Intensity Cardiovascular Endurance. There is no exercise biasing in the methodology focusing on all round athletic performance. Routine is the enemy.... Is your program movement biased? Or stuck in a routine? Sounds Great but you have to be already fit to join? Absolutely not, everyone can do CrossFit regardless of age, injuries and current fitness levels. The program is modified for each person to help him or her safely become healthier and fitter. Grandparents and Olympians can perform modified versions of the same general workout. What about your coaches? At CrossFit Release, all the coaches hold a CrossFit certification as a minimum. We also have accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (Australian Strength and Conditioning Association) which means we are able to program for athletes up to regional level. But does CrossFit work? We are one of the very few training methodology that test our community on a regular basis, whether in the box with benchmark workouts or via the worldwide open which leads onto the CrossFit Games. Where the Fittest on Earth are crowned each year... Yes our training methodology works. Come and see for yourself, don’t leave your training to chance! Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. 02.01.2022 CrossFit Release is excited to be taking part in this food awareness challenge in association with 'Optimize me Nutrition', starting on 1st February. With an easy to follow philosophy there is no requirement for counting calories, reducing fat or carbs, and there is no need for any additional shakes. Simply put, the plan is to encourage the good eating habits associated with optimal health by including the necessary fruit and veg each day. ...
