17.01.2022 Do you know about Thunderstorm Asthma? It can happen suddenly to people in Spring or Summer when there is a lot of pollen in the air and the weather is hot, dry, and stormy. Pollen grains are swept up into the air by wind, where up in the clouds they burst into hundreds of even smaller particles that can enter the smaller airways of the lungs. Thunderstorms can quickly carry these tiny particles with them, putting people with allergies and asthma at risk. While more prevalent in areas where the pollen count is high, it can happen all over Australia, so if you have hay fever or asthma it is important to remember to take your medications, and keep an eye on the weather and pollen count where you are. If you have questions about hay fever or thunderstorm asthma and how you can be prepared, ask Pharmacist today.

We know everybody's skin is different, and so we all need a sunscreen that works for us in different ways. Have a chat to one of our Pharmacist's today about what kind of sunscreen will be right for you, and keep that skin protected!
