21.01.2022 Determining your saddle height is one of the simplest adjustments you can make to your bike and can hugely change the power you crank out. At Crosstrain Double Bay we dont spend more than a few minutes on machines at a time, but if you have the time for a quick adjustment, it pays off. Heel-to-pedal The most common way new to find your saddle height is the heel-to pedal method, and while this doesnt take into account all of the elements that can affect saddle height, it wi...ll get you close enough for a 10 calorie burn. Place your heel on the pedal with the cranks in the six oclock/12 oclock position. Your knee should be dead straight. If your knee is still bent you need to increase the height, adjusting a notch each time, and if your heel loses contact with the pedal then you need to lower the saddle. Keep your hips straight! Putting the balls of feet on the pedals you should roughly have roughly 140 degrees in the 6 oclock knee joint. Bingo! Wash your hands before and after the gym session. We usually only wash our hands for 6 seconds. Make it 20. Sing happy birthday twice ... 06.01.2022 Covid Safe Plan for Crosstrain Double Bay We take the responsibility to be Covid Safe very seriously at Crosstrain Double Bay. The health and safety of our members and staff remains my top priority. ... To this end I will continue to maintain social distancing throughout sessions and an increased cleaning regime, and ensure Government COVID-19 regulations are implemented across our classes as well as offering hand sanitiser and disinfecting gym equipment. We will be implementing the following daily procedures when we open on the 13th of June: Equipment to be disinfected between (and during) sessions. 15 mins between sessions where possible to reduce crossover. Maximum 10 persons per class to abide by the 4 square meter rule (we have 50/55m 2). Structure the class to adhere to the 1.5 meter apart rule. Reverse cardio equipment to face the walls not other participants. Keep records of dates and times participants attended. Request participants to bring there own gloves and dispose of them off premises. Request participants not gather in groups before or after class. This list is by no means exhaustive and will be added to as new ways to keep members safe are added to it. Do not attend class if you are feeling unwell.
