25.01.2022 One of our lovely customers was telling me about Jonah today and I just had to share this. You can find more on Youtube.

25.01.2022 We’ve all been there eh? if you’ve been on your crochet journey for a while, had the lessons, taught yourself, followed the YouTube bloggers but STILL your ends are wobbly, you can’t read the pattern or you just want to learn some new things.... Crochet Clinic is for you! We only host these twice a year and Saturday 26th has a few spaces left. We know you bought that really expensive yarn and downloaded the pattern and are now stuck, so you’ve stashed it in a bag and hidden it away. Don’t be that person get yourself to crochet clinic and get it sorted! Saturday 26th 9.30-12.30. $50. Call the shop to book your space 9381 4286

22.01.2022 It seems celebrities are discovering the joys of wearing wool. Harry Styles with his colourful cardigan, now Taylor Swift in this stunning jumper and soon we will see Katy Perry on our screens with a crocheted granny square dress.

22.01.2022 Love Brendan's latest creation. Think Buddy needs a matching one.

21.01.2022 Happy Halloween folks! Trick or treat or knit or crochet ?? #happyhalloween

21.01.2022 This is one of my favourite patterns and yarns.

20.01.2022 Check out Brendan's intro to Youtube. So very proud of him.

18.01.2022 This beanie and scarf was made by one of our new customers who learned to knit on a loom during lockdown. He’s brand new to any type of crafting and wanted to make something lovely for his mum back in England. We think she’ll love this gift. Scarf and hat used 4 balls of Heirloom 8ply alpaca. The yarn is lovely to work with, very soft and produces really nice stitch definition. Lots of other colours to choose from in store. #yarn #loomknitting #loomknittersofinstagram #alpaca #yarnstore #localyarnshop #iloveyarn #menwhoknit

15.01.2022 Virus shawl We have opened bookings for our virus shawl workshop, Saturday 17th October 1-4pm. The virus shawl has been around for years but recently it’s made a come back (I wonder why?? ) it’s not an over complicated pattern, but there are many versions and this workshop will walk you through the start, how to read the pattern or the chart and how to work with finer yarns that give you subtle colour changes and beautiful drape. If you’ve attended a beginners sessio...n, this is a great next step, building on your skills. Workshop is $75 which includes the beautiful colour changing yarn worth $30. (Lots of different colours to choose from, to suit all tastes!) bookings on 9381 4286. See more

06.01.2022 Have you ever driven around and seen a tree painted blue? Well these trees are painted blue to help raise awareness around mental health and to aid in sparking ...the conversation around this difficult subject. I first saw a blue tree maybe 6 months ago and since then on my little journey I just keep bumping into them! It’s funny how something might always be there but you aren’t actually aware of it. In the coming months I want to start doing a few little fundraisers and giveaways to start raising funds for mental health projects. For me knitting helps me to remain mindful and gives me a little skip to my step. I like to spread my knitting joy because I think it’s such an easy way for me to find happiness and I think it can be an easy way for others as well #knittingismyyoga #knittingismytherapy #knittersofinstagram #knittersoftheworld #knittersofaustralia #mentalhealthawareness #ruok #knittingtherapy #knittinghelp #mindfulcrafting #knittingaddict #knitknitknit #knittinglove #knittinglover #menwhoknit #maleknitter #guyswhoknit #handmadewithlove #handmadeknits #handmadeknitwear #selfhelptools #arttherapy #arttherapylife #arttherapist #arttherapyheals #crafttherapy #knitterslife #homemadewithlove #knittingcommunity #yarntherapy See more

04.01.2022 My third and final patchwork jumper all done and dusted If you’ve been following me for the last few months then you’d be aware of my patchwork knitting endea...vours (inspired by the Harry Styles cardigan) and the massive journey I’ve been on... I’m really happy with the end result of this jumper and the process I’ve been through to get to this point! The first jumper was made using individual squares (insanity), the second was made using panels (bareable) and the third made using the intarsia or colour twist method (happy days) The jumper will be called the Kai Fella Jumper and I will go into details about the reason behind the name but for now, know that I’m really excited by this jumper and the future initiatives that I’ll be doing with it! Thank you all for the constant support! This project has been a mission but it’s finally done.
