23.01.2022 Germany is banning single-use plastic straws, cotton buds and food containers Associated Press Published 2:33 PM EDT Jul 31, 2020 BERLIN Germany is banning the sale of single-use plastic straws, cotton buds and food containers, bringing it in line with a European Union directive intended to reduce the amount of plastic garbage that pollutes the environment.... The Cabinet agreed Wednesday to end the sale of plastics including single-use cutlery, plates, stirring sticks and balloon holders, as well as polystyrene cups and boxes by July 3, 2021. Environment Minister Svenja Schulze said the move was part of an effort to move away from throw-away culture. Up to 20% of garbage collected in parks and other public places consists of single-use plastic, mainly polystyrene containers. Plastic takes decades to degrade and microscopic particles have been found inside the bodies of fish, birds and other animals. Published 2:33 PM EDT Jul 31, 2020

15.01.2022 What's left behind when you use a non-biodegradable teabag? Yorkshire Tea Tetley UK Twinings UK It's time to join us and ditch the traditional plastics. We’re t...he ONLY major tea brand to have fully plant-based and biodegradable teabags. Until they ditch, #MakeTheSwitch #WarOnPlastic

12.01.2022 Did you watch Hugh and Anita War on Plastic? It was excellent. Sandwich packs clearly remain a problem. This team from UEA carried out lab tests on tea bags. ...We have done exactly the same in the compost bins and wormery. No surprise - we found exactly the same as the UEA team. Clipper, Pukka and Tea Pigs did not contain plastic and disappeared in the bins. We’ve also tested a range of biodegradable magazine wrappers for an experiment with UCL. We’ll be digging out the results this Thursday.

08.01.2022 so wrong ,so sad..

05.01.2022 2020 has had so much damage, little of such has been 'natural'. It is us, the human race, that MUST change for this continuous devastation to end
