19.01.2022 USEFUL TIP #004 Need to get a bit more distance out of your mobile phone or mobile broadband coverage? Or do you need to get coverage where there is none?... There is a few things that can be done to help. Antennas will help to get you distance, approximately twice the distance for every 3-4dBi gain rated on an antenna. For example if you travel 40-45kms from the tower (town) before losing your signal a 7dBi to 9dBi antenna will get you about 160kms before you lose the signal. Height will also help. The higher your antenna the better the range it will have. We don't recommend omni directional (car) antennas over a 9dBi gain as the higher the gain the "lower" the pick up is. For example a 21dBi gain antenna only picks up the signal a little above the hight of the antenna so any hills, trees or other low lying features of the surrounding area may block the signal. Always make sure your antenna is rated to work on the 850mHz frequency as that is the frequency band of the Telstra/Next G network. Any antenna not rated for 850mHz is unlikely to get you any distance at all. If you want to know more or have any other questions come in and see us we have a range of antennas, induction cradles, patch leads and we are happy to show you how to use them and answer any questions.

19.01.2022 Wondering how to erase all the data from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad? You’ve come to the right place. If you factory reset an iPhone, everything will be wiped from the device and it’ll return to the same state it was in when you first took it out of the box. If you’re planning on selling your iPhone, you should always do a factory reset beforehand. Otherwise, the buyer will have access to all of the personal information that you have stored on the device. A factory reset... can be done in two ways: from your computer via iTunes or directly from your untethered phone. In this tutorial, we’ve included directions for both methods. *Note: This tutorial is generic and will work for any version of iOS. That means the following steps will also perform a factory reset on any generation of iPad or iPod Touch. From iTunes Step 1: Plug in your iPhone to your computer via the USB adapter cable. Step 2: Before you do anything else, sync your phone with iTunes. This will create a backup of all your pictures, music, apps, contacts, etc. which you can use to restore other iDevices from. Step 3: After the sync is finished, scroll up to the top of the iPhone page in iTunes and click the Restore button in the top right. From iPhone To perform a factory reset on your iPhone without plugging it in, follow these steps. It should be noted, however, that this will erase absolutely everything on the phone, so you might want to consider backing your device up in iTunes first. Step 1: Fire up your iPhone and hunt down the Settings icon. Tap it. Step 2: Scroll and find the tab labeled General. Tap it. Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of this menu and tap the Reset tab. Step 4: Tap Erase All Content and Settings. Step 5: If you’re ready to wipe everything form your phone, tap the red Erase iPhone button. At this point, your phone will be inoperable for the next few minutes while it erases itself. Once it’s done, you can turn it back on and everything will be just like it was when it came off the assembly line at Foxconn. Press and hold the correct keys to boot the device into recovery mode. This will vary from device to device. Here are some examples:... Nexus 7: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Samsung Galaxy S3: Volume Up + Home + Power Motorola Droid X: Home + Power Devices With Camera Buttons: Volume Up + Camera Similar devices will likely use similar key combinations. For example, the Nexus 4 also uses Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. If your device isn’t on this list and none of the above methods work, do a Google search for the name of your device and recovery mode or look in the device’s manual or support pages.
